NO, when they play a ****TY, cowardly, defensive game like Roma did against Newcastle earlier this season. 0-0 Paolo_Rossi 22-03-2000, 11:09:PM You people r so stupid, lazio did play defensively ,but they had one player kicked off.By the way ,playing defensively is what makes lazio win games in CL,cause they have a good counter attack kramer81usf 22-03-2000, 11:29:PM they did play defensivly. inzagi was lone striker for most of the game. they need to get salas more playing time HNAFC 23-03-2000, 12:42:AM CHELSEA WERE POOR IN MIDFIELD, THEY NEEDED DENNIS WISE!! di matteo and deschamps kept on giving the ball away. WHAT THE HELL WAS LEBOEUF DOING??? MIHAIJLOVIC BANGED IN A WICKED FREEKICK!!!! Batistuta 23-03-2000, 03:23:AM Here's Mihajlovic's Free Kick... http://www.raisport.rai.it/mcalcio/champions9900fase2/d/e000122.mpg and http://www.raisport.rai.it/mcalcio/champions9900fase2/d/e000123.mpg Greetings from the man called BatiGOL!!! PolishPower 23-03-2000, 08:15:AM I agree Deschamps had a truly awful game, he seemed lost out there most of the game, and was no help at all. DiMatteo was not much better. Zola was the best, as was Poyet. For Lazio I'd say Inzaghi and Nedved were the best, they all played pretty well though. Neo_9 23-03-2000, 03:10:PM U say Lazio played defensivly, but in the first half it wasn't like they played against one goal..I yhink that was an equal first half, maybe a little advantage for Lazio - so I was a bit surprised when Poyet scored, a beautiful goal though..(think it deflected a bit of a defender.. ) Man of the match: Veron What a great game he did, worked hard the whole game and showed good skills. Great goal bt Miha too,, man he is great with his freekicks. Sven-Göran Eriksson, the best coach in the world. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif Paolo_Rossi 23-03-2000, 05:03:PM Correction:Ancellotti is the best coach in the world. Zambrotta 23-03-2000, 05:49:PM Veron was great indeed, but Lazio will only go as far as Sinisa's freekicks take them. In the last months, when Lazio sucked, he never scored. Last year, when they were so great, he scored somewhat 10 goals. Eriksson the best coach??? Never - he is good, but he is weak, has too much respect for good adversaries. The best coach is a newcomer: Luigi de Canio. Other great coaches: Zac, Capello and Lippi. I don't know about Ancelotti, he seems VERY strict, this year he has success, at Parma he sucked (but they finished 2nd if I am not wrong...so he is a winner). Inter09 23-03-2000, 11:03:PM Did someone just say that Erikson was the best coach in the world????? Man, what an idiot. He is a stupid coach. He brought on Salas in the 2nd half when they had the lead, but should have brought on a defensive player. Then he takes Salas out and finally puts in a defensive player(Gottardi). He wasted two substitutions that COULD have cost him the game. And Lazio's game is so ugly, kick and run. It's even worse than the English longball game because at least the English teams have perfected that strategy. The keeper punts, one forward flicks on to the other and off to the races(the Derby vs. Liverpool game when Heskey flicked on to Owen, but Poom saved Owen's shot in the end). I think that Inter will pull ahead of Lazio in the Scudetto race and Lazio will end up either third or lower. Juventus will win though b/c of their monstrous 9 point lead. kramer81usf 24-03-2000, 01:51:AM well said about the coach. lazio has three very good strikers and they start with 1 lone striker. he made of fool of salas but his substitutions. Paolo_Rossi 24-03-2000, 03:30:AM How can u say that ancelloti is strict ,he is excellent in tactics and makes good decisions most of the time. PolishPower 24-03-2000, 07:25:AM I think the point of playing one nominal forward was to dominate the midfield and push forward which is exactly what happend. And Lazio did have better of chances and possession. The tv announcer was so stupid, how is Lazio gonna play defensive when they knew they could be out if they had a draw? Tommy Smith once again showing he's not all that when it comes to analysis. |
