I like Playing Amedyla Veron and Simeonie in the middle. I hope they can put Salas up front too because he is still their top striker. Nesta and Sinja are solid in Defense but their midfield is unstoppable - best in the world.

Here's hoping they draw Valencia to put out. I like Jardel and wanna see him go far.

Even if lazio would buy rivaldo,he wouldnt play in the cl cause the rule of the CL states that if a player played at least one game with a team in the CL,he may not play with the other team until the next CL .Example,last year ,thierry henry couldnt play for juventus in the CL cause he already had played one game with Monaco.

i think chelsea was the better team yesterday without wise. chealse were in no matter what and lazio were playing for everything. with wise in chelsea is the better team. and with a good ref, lazio would have had 3 reds

I really cannot agree with what your saying about Lazio. I think this club represents the worst in this era of "let's blow great wads of cash on whatever hotshot footballer we can." Instead of building and fitting pieces they just spend like mad.

That three man midfield you refer to (Almeyda, Simeone, and Veron) might come closer to "best in the world" if they had Rivaldo. But as it is, Lazio's midfield is primarily to blame for all their horrible draws/losses - they can't get quality balls to their quality strikers (Inzahgi, Salas, Mancini, Boksic) and beat the Veronas of the world.

As to that midfield trio, only the gifted Juan Sebastian Veron is a real player of quality. Almeyda is an ankle stomping hack (who would not even start for River Plate right now), and Simeone is similar (better technically but way too slow these days). They usually play Stankovic or Conceicao as well - and both of these young players seem to lack any confidence whatsoever.

I for one wish Lazio had been eliminated, for the above reasons as well as the clubs irresponsibilty in dealing with its Fascist fans/history.

I prefer the way the Old Lady is run these days.

Duke is absolutely right. I saw Lazio play yesterday and all they do is play the long ball. They look like sh*t. When they do combine some passes together, they barely do it and they usually lose the ball. They are a horrible "team", but they win because they have good individual players. Almeyda is awful and he looks like an ape. Their best players are Mihajlovic, Nesta, Negro, Veron, and Nedved. The rest aren't all that good. They try and play the longball but don't even do that very good. The only teams in Italy(the top teams) that play a good passing game are Inter, Roma, and Udinese. Milan and Lazio are teams that buy whatever they can when they are desperate. Juventus seems to win every game with good defense and midfield. Del Piero and Inzaghi are both good, but they fight over who will score the goal and they don't seem to work well together all the time. Juve is the best in Serie A because of an awesome defense and midfield. I hate Lazio and I hope that they lose to whoever they play. I don't like Chelsea either, but I like them better than the racist, sh*tty lazio team.

P.S. Did you know that Chelsea did not start any United Kingdom born players. The only player that played that was born in the United Kingdom was Jody Morris. That is strange!

I would say this I liked Lazio much better 2 or three years ago when they started to get good, I like the way Boksic was playing, now they started to buy too many new players every year starting with Salas, probably the most overrated striker in history of Latin America.

I think Simeone should be strictly bench player now, it is Nedved and Sergio Conceicao who make the real quality of the team, my opinion, also Inzaghi really showed some great stuff. I think if Lazio made less changes and stuck with their best players, like Juve does, they would have been champions already.
