World cup 98 was excellent ,the graphics were awesome and its not a pinball like Fifa2000.Another game that comes close to it is fifa98RTWC .What do u people think.

I only have FIFA 99 and WC 98, and always play FIFA 99, hardly ever WC 98, I think FIFA 99 is much better.

Italy 82, i have to agree, wc98 for it's time was the best of the series, but you play fifa99 or fifa2000 extensively, then go back and play wc98 and you will appreciate the qualities of the later games. But the pace of wc98 was superb,

Without a doubt WC98 is the best game of the entire fifa series.

I'll let you know; my son has been playing RTTWC on an old, slower machine at our home and he wanted WC98 so I'm getting it because it's so cheap now. By this time, the only thing about RTTWC that still stands out is the stadium graphics (which EA Sports doesn't care about anymore). But the game . . . at the World Class level I took the Maldives all the way to the Cup final using just basic player moves . . . and would've won too if it wasn't for the AI "catch-up logic."

Scoring in WC 98 was too easy, good players could rack up goals in that game like nothing, few tournaments I played Ronaldo or Romario would have like 15 goals at end of the world cup. Still it was a pretty good game for its time and I think imrpovement on rtwc, but not as good as 99.

WC 98 is much better and graphic arts especially. There is only one problem how to create a custome league?

Would someone please for once explain to me why Fifa 99 was so good?. I thought it was a really bad joke. Please explain to me how high speed ping pong is soooooo good?
