When I buy players I find that the attribute that counts most is determination - of course good skills also.

I usually go for three different formations - I only play 4-4-2

1. Attacking playing style - Normal with ball - Pressing without
Set both my strikers to dribble - Left midfield to cross - next midfielder to trough pass - both my central defenders to long ball - Without ball - all defenders are set to hard tackle - and strikers to push forward.

2. Normal playing style - again normal passing style and pressing without - Set my strikers to long shot - R L midfield to cross - central midfielders to trough - all defenders long ball - Without ball Strikers + L R midfield to push forward - all defenders to hard tackle (True Norwegian tactics:D )

3. My third style is a normal style counter attacking passingstyle - Longshots strikers - hard tackle defenders - R L Mid. cross - Cent. Mid Trough - R L backs Long ball - strikers + R L mid + 1 Cent Mid push forward - the remaining cent. Mid push back

So I u follow these tactics - buy young players with good determination it´s no problem taking a 3 division club to Premier League in ashort period of time - I´ve been using these tactics since the first game in 1998, it works for me.....

By the way have U tried out the Deviance Money Trainer? Did U get it to work???

I have always found a flat back 4, a DM, 2 wingers, 2 strikers and either an AM or CF has worked.

at the moment im using 3-4-3 because i got 3 good strikers! it works pretty good..... if u put 3 top defenders, and 3 top strikers in it works very well!

Usually i start the season off with the standard 4-4-2, and then later change adding 4-3-1-2 or other things like that. When i am satisfied with my teams performance, i leave the formation until i purchase new players, or feel the need for a change!

I usually play 442 normal and low aggression to minimize injuries.

Wingers haven't been too effective for me ever in the FM series and 4 backs seems like a must for me or else too many goals are let in, even with a Kahn or Buffon.
