It's going to be renamed as World Tour Soccer!!

Why am I so excited;
1)We get another official football game in the US. (Woohoo!!)

and

2)Hopefully this will prompt Konami to anounce PES' release in North America as well (finger's crossed).

Yup, while I don't have plans for getting this game this is great news. North America now has some choices between footy games...This is great. PES will follow shortly.

Take my advice on this. Just buy the game, play against the CPU with a friend and you'll wonder why you have been playing Fifa all this time. If don't really know if it's realistic, but it's loads and loads of fun.

Cheers,

King Kenny.

You're right - TIF really would make FIFA players realise what they've been missing all this time.

but this is the ISS forum

Ah, come on - no one goes to the TIF2 forum - if I had of posted this news there then no North American soccer fans would have heard the news. Not to mention this DOES have to do with PES because if TIF2 is going to be released in the US of A, then Konami might follow Sony's lead and release their game.

I'm definately pumped about playing World Tour Soccer in it's own right - always great to have more choice.

Yeah....however I don't think that it is a matter of whether Konami would release PES in the US. The question is when and how. 'How' in that, would it be a direct port, or would they remove clubsides and master league and replace it with the MLS.

This is what I was referring to when I said 'this is the ISS forum' - specifically the fact that very few of us on this forum 'have been playing FIFA all this time'

LTJ, some of us have been playing Fifa ever since the earliest versions arrived on the scene quite a few years ago, but as the console football has progressed to its current quallity, many of us, the long suffering Fifa players have now crossed the river so to speak and are now playing the Iss's and This is Football 2's on the Ps1 and Ps2, the Fifa's have been the 'in thing' for quite a few years, but sadly are now in a downward spin to the dismal depths of the pits, if you read some of the threads in the Fifa 2002 forum and some of the complaints and calls for help in regard to trying to get the game to even run like a football game, it is pretty sad when you read all this after the game has only been released for a couple of weeks and even now players have become sick and tired of the constant tweaking and patching that seems to be the norm for the Fifa Series, and from past experience is it worth all that time and effort to even attempt to fix up all those glitches and niggles that plague that game .. but to finish off on a brighter note and for all you players in the Usa, give This is Football 2 a try out, it isn't an Iss but it is great fun to play in a player v player sortie in the schoolyard with edited and downsized players, aye, and it is fun to play with the regular sized players on the real parks too, and just a footnote about any references to Fifa in this forum, i think that they are mentioned when any comparisons are made in regard to the differences between Pc and Console football, well that is the reason that i mention Fifa anyway ... Ned :)

That's great news! Please, everyone in NA buy a copy so that we can send a message to Konami (and others) that there is a market here for a game that approximates the real thing!

Good point. Of course we'd all much rather have a direct port (and wouldn't that be so much easier for Konami?) but if they can do the same with the J-League in JLWE5 for the MLS - keep the gameplay and tactical options the EXACT same (not change it like in ExtraTime) and add US stadiums and hopefully keep proper international teams I won't mind as much. I really like JLWE5, I think even when I get PES I'll still have the odd go of JLWE5 - KCET really did a good job of capturing the atmosphere of the J-League - I can't say if it's accurate but it is engrossing and immersive. I'm really attached to my bunch of retards on Jef United ;)

LTJ - cool, I understand now.

Wow, now this is some news! I am definitely getting the game once it comes out. I am sick of FIFA and ignorant monopolies, it is time to have choice. Konami, please watch the US market and decide if there is demand or not!
