If I was going to get my Ps2 chiped for import games... What is the chip called? And do I have to send my ps2 into someone to chip it or can I do it myself?....

NEO 2 is the single swap ps2 which in my oppinion is the safeste way to go as it only invovles 6-8 wires. This is used in conjunction with either Action Replay or DVD Region X to boot copied games whoops i mean imported games. The process is a simple enough soldering operation but I recommend getting an experienced chipper to do it.This will cost about 70 pounds to have fitted. DVD REgion X included
The lastest chip is the NEO 4 is a no swap mod which means it will boot games directly. Possibly the better solution but be warned it involves the soldering of around 44 wires and your main board will look like the spagheti junction. Dont know the price fr this but i reakon in the region of around 100 pound or 185 dollars

You can get a Neo4 chip and not have to worry about having to use action replay or a game shark to boot the game. The company that I'm getting my ps2 modded by will provide the chip, install it, test it , return ship your ps2, and provide a lifetime warranty for $160. The Neo 4 is the best mod chip you can buy.
