How can you choose to play with more then one team ?

If you are two people and want to play a tournament ?

On PSX2

Whats the point in playing FIFA if you can`t compeat ??

on the same pc.. then the only way is one to play with gamepad and one with keyboard...

Yup the max no. of players are two. It used to be four, though :( [why are EA taking all the features away?]

On PSX2 you can play uptil 5 players in a game.

What I ment was how to play with each team in a tournament ?

It was possible from FIFA96, 97, 98, 99 and 2000. From 2001 you could chose two or more in the custom cup section. But in 2002 there is`nt even a custom cup section. :(

Well go to creation center and create a new cup. You can only select ONE team and play with that team :(

Here's my mail to EA-Sports regarding
the multiplayer-tournament issue :

Hi there in EA-Sports whoever you are.
Not everybody can be satisifed when
a new version of a popular game is
released .. It's self explanatory..

Eg. compared to earlier releases,
the new version coul implement the following ;

- The graphics could be better (or worse)
- The playability could be better (or worse)
- The sound-effects coul be better (or worse)
- The realism colud be better (or worse)
- The online options could be better (or wors)

I think that the gameplay of FIFA 2002 has improved
a lot compared to FIFA 2001, even if I miss some
features in FIFA 2001. (The abillity to do a lot of tricks etc.).
But, I understand, that a game can never be perfect,
and it is impossible to satisfy everybody. I think everybody
is aware of that, even if it doesn't seem so when you
hear or read what people say. In FIFA 2002 it is perfectly
clear that you have put a great deal in it to improve
the gameplay, and the realism, and the difficulty,
so that the matches aren't so accidentially as before.
Now, you have to bee GOOD to win in FIFA 2002,
GREAT if you ask me ...

.. But non of the above matters if the developer (you)
decides to remove the most vital function of the game.
.. You could see improvements on every filed
metioned above, but it doesn't really matter if the
developer (you) removes the most enjoyable function of
the game..

- The most important/funny/vital/enjoable
function of playing a football(soccer)-game
is that you can share the fun with your friends.
That you can play along with your friends, have
a social togethering, play with and against your friends.

Now, I wonder :
Why on earth have you in EA Sports decided that
we (the ones who spend money on you) shall not
be able anymore to play more than only
1-user selected player (team)
in tournament / season mode.. ??
Why is it not possible anymore to play multiplayer
in tournament on your own computer in your own home ..

I also wonder (and still is trying very hard to figure
out) : (What were the overwhelming
arguments for removing this vital option ?)

I am not a programming expert (I did some machine
code and pascal on my Commodore 64 ;) ),
but I can't see that including this option in
the game should be a major programming
issue / problem for you.. (Come on you guys (and girls),
you are experts !!!) Especially when this option
are available on previous version of the FIFA-
series .. (Can't you just copy the code/rutines
from FIFA 2001, and integrate it into FIFA 2002?)

As I say, I am sure FIFA 2002 has improved
a lot over FIFA 2001 in playability, even if it's
not perfect (No game is). But I seriously can't see
the fun in sitting all alone playing FIFA
by myself .. Therefore I do not intend to
spend time practicing in FIFA 2002
and find out all the new features/things ...

When I bought this game, I took it for granted
(like A LOT OF PEOPLE DID, AND STILL DO)
that you of course could still could invite your friends
over for snack and a tournament in FIFA.
But how wrong could I be. How dissapointed
is it possible to be ?

I must say that I feel that this issue is almost
on the edge of fraud. I am sure everyone
(or at least MANY people) takes this option
in FIFA 2002 for granted, (since it has been
available on all the latest versions) only to be
dissapointed, ANGRY and so on .......
The guy in the shop was shocked when I returned
the game and demanded my money back, and he totally
agreed with me; THIS IS RIDICILOUS !! And gave me
my money back..

Now, I have a final question for you :
Will you come out with a patch and fix
this in FIFA 2002, or are you not.

If you are, I am sill gonna recommend
this game to everyone I know (and
re-buy it), if not, well, you know...

I hope that you don't use an argument
such as; since we cant patch-up the
Playstation-version, or the PS2-version,
we cant do it on the PC-version, since
it wouldn't be fair to the console-users..

And I know, It's YOUR game, and you
have made it YOUR way, the way
YOU intended..... But come on !!
Don't tell us that if you don't like
it they way WE intended, simply
return it to your retailer.. PLEAZE don't !!
A lot of people like you, and your games,
dont make them switch side...

They x-mas is closing, and after
discovering that you removed the
ability to play multiplayer in tournament
mode, you have ruined the X-mas
for me and my friends..

I have heard of a game called ISS Pro Evolution2,
that is supposed to be great on the PS2,
have you ?

Surely YOU must have discussed this before

understand what the SUPER-arguments were,

You can play on same PC with 2 Gravis GamePad Pro's linked together daisychain style.

You can play with more than 2 people at once on the PC. I'm not sure how many, because I only have 2 controllers, but I can play with both controllers and the keyboard.

direct ip seems to only let 1 person connect, is there any way we could do this?
