Hi Guys...only 5 days to go...!!!! :)

As we all know, KCET and Sports interactive signed an agreement to share the Championship Manager database for use in PES. However this is not strictly true. The agreement came too late in development for the database to have any use in Pro Evo Soccer. :( So we will start to see the more enhanced stats in future versions. This is a shame for the current version however there is a HUGE plus point.....

Sports Interactive have ALL the licenses for their player database, so every single name is correct. This means that KCET won't have to fork out any extra money to get all the licenses, how very cunning!! So hopefully from PES2 onwards, ALL the players names should be correct along with all the stats, team names, stadiums etc etc

A pretty exciting prospect as I'm sure your agree.

I didn't want to turn that other thread into what this thread is about.....

So the new changes mean that Konami will be able to use real names right? What is meant by stats? are those just player attributes? (it's pretty accurate as it is now, WE5 and PES).

I dont think this is the case, I would think Konami still hav eto buy rights to the licenses what they have bought from SI is access to the stats............

Its not that easy, Konami would still have to buy every license....cant buy them off SI :o

If it is access to stats alone, then i'm not excited...infact we will notice very little difference due to this. Again everyone says stats, but i'm guessing they mean player attributes. Stats will be 'Holland has scored 627 goals since their establishment'. As far as player attributes, Konami has done a pretty good job on their own with this, I still don't see how the SI 'deal' affects the game considerably.

With all the player attributes handed to them on a silver plate all they have to do now is make the player models. I think this means that they can vastly improve the amount of players they can make, ergo the teams that will be in the next game. Maybe a Dutch Second Division even.
