This pisses me right off and i can gaurantee these people who find a fault in the gameplay not sound are converted FIFA (spit) players.

Main moans--- The one two doesn't work ( Bleh what you mean is you cant use it every time to break down the defense- PRACTISE you morons)
I cant lob the keeper-- PRACTISE you morons
Its imposssible to shoot and score from 30 yards--no its not- PRACTISE you morons
Its too slow---bleh ISS Ev 2 was too fast
I cant win headers- Yawn Yawn

This game is how a football game should feel, slick and smooth. The fact that it actually plays like real football is just a bonus.

That's what i call a stupid and biased statement...

Agree with both of you....Stuie: Remember, there's no such thing like perfect gameplay in my opinion even though PES is close.....there will always be things to complain about, and I think the developers want complains as well (not 2 much though)....but then again, some peoples do complain too much...

I was just stating my first impressions of the game against pe2.

The lob statement was about when i go to shoot sometimes the ball just floats towards he goal quite tamely. (not that i cant do chip shots)

The shoot from 30 yards can be done gerrard is a demon at it, but you do get closed down very quickly though the centre.

The winnig headers bit it is still strange after a week quite solid of playing my players will sometimes stand off and not challenge for headers at all !?!

The too slow bit I am more or less used to now,

My main gripes with the game is the players first touch which most of the time stinks and the response time of the player.

There's no doubt that this is a great game and it wipes the floor with fifa, but at this moment I am considering chipping my ps2 and getting winning eleven 5 for it as I still prefer the old game play styles.....at the moment =OP

Stuie, you really are a fanatic, because it's the way of fanatics to loath (sometimes: hate) everyone that doesn't totally agree with their opinions.

In my opinion you should be glad that people are taking the step from FIFA to PES/ISS. It is definitely a huge one (I've taken this step four months ago), but the people that play ISS for a long time sometimes have difficulties to understand that. Please: give the new ones a break! Let them complain if they want to! Help them with their practise (because help is simply what they ask for!)

Your reaction is nothing more than saying: ''if you don't like (some bits of) pes it's because you suck with it. Well, I know how to play it so don't bother me with your whining'' Hey, but why do we come together at this forum, then? Just to raise our hands in favour of our Lord, Pes Almighty? Just to shame those pittyfull sinners of the FIFA-tribe?

We're all soccer-fans, please....

oi
stuie2k is just giving his opinion, it may not be very politically correct - but hey - at least the guy is being honest.

Also i know for a fact that stuie is an avid futbol fan , do not diss this true fan of the game.

Thanks for your comments stuie2k , they sound logical to me :D

P.s : I like the default speed of PE2, mind you Im using 33 FPS in my video settings. I feel it's a good balance that you can slow the game down and it still goes fast enuff when your trying to up the pace of the game.

Still cant believe how awesome this game is - Watching a champions League game on TV las nite , I was getting flashes of playing PE2 - farken very kewl :D

Yeah good point there also I have played ISS over fifa for a good 4 years at least now. I must play about 10 hours a week at least of PE2 and I am a very experienced player. I have been waiting for this game for ages and I feel that it was slightly over hyped for the game play.

I have blown the pro evo trumpet at work(I work for GAME) totally and i have always recommend the evo series over anything that has gone before or come since.

I think your reaction to my views were quite harsh because as i said in that thread they were my opinions and I was asking if anybody else had noticed them or felt the same about the game. I would love it if my problems were all just down to the way I play the game but at the moment i really dont think that is the case.

I'm sorry if you think that I wanted to attack Stuie, or something. I was only attacking his opinion, because MY opinion is that we should stay away from kicking eachother in the guts. This forum is, hopefully, about kicking that virtual ball, and how you do that the best.

BTW, I also am a true fan of the game, as are many around here, I reckon, and I also consider it a bonus that PES resembles REAL football, and that it needs REAL practise. I'm only saying: give the beginners a break!

(Now I've read scholsy's reply I should add: give everyone a break!)

yep kicking around a virtual ball rather than each other's guts sounds infinately more attractive to me also.

Just sounded like some ppl were being a bit harsh on stuie2k's opinion - i was just providing some balance to this thread.

but yer - beginners need support not bashing :D

Oke, I've gotten two solutions for your problems.

Headers:
After a long ball is given don't press X immediately. When halfway, tap X a few times instead of keeping it down. It works.
Also, you can use R2 (hold down+ direction) to 'come before' your man. Haven't figured out yet how to combine these two though

Recieving ball:
Hold down R2 to make the ball 'jump' from your feet. Can be usefull, but is difficult to master.
Press L1 a millisecond before the ball reaches your player to hold it close. L2 regular recieving.
First run towards the ball with R2, then when it reaches your player, press L1, or R2 to do either of the above.

Although Stui sounds a bit fanatic, he's right. All the gameplay 'gripes' you've mentioned are in fact your own lack of button knowledge. Practice......
