I downloaded a commentary but it seems week. Only a few player names are mentioned. Anyone got a site for a FULL UK Commentary?

i have the uk version ,so with full commentary and indeed... not much player names r called by motson and co. so its not a problem with your file.. it is the same in the real uk version commentary.. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/frown.gif

This link was posted by a member earlier today. Go to the UK speech section. I downloaded the commentary and it worked well. One warning, however. There are 32 2.77 mb files to download so unless you have a cable modem or equivelent, it is going to take a long (many hours) time.

As far as I know it doesn't make one bit of difference what you download you will not get player names all the timelike you did in FIFA 99. This is very annoying, makes it harder to memorize players names and numbers.

dude there is nothing wrong with your game, I played games with Brasil and only one player was mentioned the whole game "Roberto Carlos" this is so bad it almost makes me laugh, so no surprise Hapoel Haifa has no player mentioned by name.

I'm not sure how many names are stated in the commentary, but it is the full game commentary. You get the little pre-match discussion where both teams are mentioned by name.

In the audio\speng folder there are three files:

1. players.str which is about 13 mb
2. speech.str which is about 76 mb
3. teams.str which is about 6 mb

If the files you have are a smaller size than these, then you don't have the full commentary.

As for installing the files, What I did was unzip all 32 zip files into one directory.

Then I opened the first ace file, "fifa2ksp.ace" with unace.exe.

Then click the extract button in unace.exe and point to your main FIFA 2000
directory. It will then ask you if you want to overwrite your existing
speech files.

It may also prompt you for the other ace files. just point it to the
directory where you unzipped them. You do need to have all 32 files for it
to work.
