1. Real player names.
One thing which really annoys me is having a team with world-renowned players such as No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 etc. :D

2.Expansion pack for FIFA 2002 (?).
I thought it might be a good idea to make WC 2002 an expansion pack for FIFA 2002. It adds to the RTWC part of the game including the world cup, adds the OFC and CAF to the qualifying and putting all national teams in (with real players).

3.National Selection
Wouldn't it be cool if you could select which players are in the national squad. You have the default squad and then when you play RTWC there is a button replacing the transfer thingie on season mode with a national selection button. All players under the nationality of the country you are playing with can be selected, meaning more nationalities must be added.

1)For the love of god make the gameplay better(wish it would be like fifa 99 but with some modifications)
2)Make the players look better(more real etc)
3)More accurate player statistics
4)More stadiums
5)Put back the Tele Camera view that was in fifa99!!!
6)Make more options such as:More hairstyles, more faces to chose from, and make it so we can choose different boots of different colours and companys.

1.)I like all Parra Power's Suggestions

2.)Names on player's backs. And you could have an option to remove the names. You know how in friendlies or WC Qualifiers the squad is normally different every time and they have no names on the back just numbers? Thats wat it would be for.

3.)Use real numbers and letters! You know how all adidas jerseys have a certain "font" i guess they use on their jerseys and then all nike jerseys have a different font?. And then certain leagues(such as the EPL) have all their teams use the same font no matter who makes their jerseys? You need to be able to do that. In NHL 2001 the kits all have their own number and letter files inside the .fsh file. They need to do this in WC2002 instead of having just one .big file for all the numbers.

4.) Smaller numbers on the front of the jersey. NHL2001 has the smaller numbers on the arm, y cant we have the smaller numbers on the front in WC2002(im not sure but i think only national squads with no sponsors on the front of their jersey do this).

5.)ALL the national squads(Even the ones that didnt enter the competiton such as Afghanistan, North Korea, and Burundi) in an expansion pack like Parra Power said.

6.)When you create a team, you can pick who makes their jerseys(and you have a selective style choice, cuz certain companies only have 2 or 3 styles of jerseys like adidas or umbro), and when you create a player, you can pick who makes their boots.

7.)You can create your own World Cup qualifying from created national teams!!!! Or if you dont like how the world Cup qualifying is run right now, you can just give it a lil fix!!!

Ok im getting a little out of hand now, so ill leave now,

Cheers.

Make tackling easier, but wiggling harder, creating a REALLY intense game, so that when you play friends, you can't simply wiggle past the defence. Oh and make a better shooting model, so that you can completly blast the ball over the cross bar, without having to use full power. Get rid of them bugs too!

Nick Clubman

It's not about international teams, names on the back of jerseys...IT'S ABOUT GAMEPLAY!

I'm not pissed off, just bored of you people going to FIFA 2002 forums and making thread after thread complaining about FIFA 2002 and saying how great ISS is.

I can't comment on that. I've never played ISS or PES. Trust me, if it comes out on PC, I'll be one of the first to get it. But i'm not going to buy a console for one game.

cont...

4.Custom Cup
More than one player in custom cups. Can't make that clearer.
More options. 2nd group, seedings etc.

5.Gameplay
Easier tackling and aimed slide tackling. No cpu offsides. When I download a patch, the CPU just do perfect 1-2's. I don't want that either. Easier World Class and/or more difficulties. Weather affects ground more. Anyone got anything else?

6. Crowd
Better sounds. Away team goals are booed rather than cheered, except for a small minority in a part of the stadium. The majority of the crowd is dressed in the home team's colours. Also, American Samoa vs. Tonga matches don't attract 100,000 fans in real life, then why so in FIFA 2002. Milan vs Inter, real vs Barca, the champions cup finals are sold out, not some Egyptian team against some Israeli team facing relegation.

You see...I HAVE played them both. You should play an ISS game and then come talk to me and tell me if you're still a FIFA fan.

Hows this for some suggestions:

1. An option that says "Sell this game, and actually get your money back"

or even better

2. An option that says "Sell this game, then give me a PS2 and a copy of PES"

Now theres a great game.

PS2 and PES for $60. Great price.

Firstly there shouldn't be any countrys that have all thier players called no.8 or no.3 of anything like that. You should have their proper names! Secondly you should have Diego Tristan in the Spanish team!! How can you miss him out of the spanish team?? Please do these things.

Parra Power:> mate don't take things to heart that you read in these here forums, the point that some of us are trying to get across to other players is the fact that there are different and better options to seek out in regard to the football gaming scene, if you havn't tried playing the Iss 1 and 2 games due to not having a Ps1 console, you have probably already read up on some of the threads in here with references to using the Espxe Emulator to play them on your Pc, i actually borrowed both Iss games before i decided if they were ok, and after a couple of hours of getting used to the controls and the different feel to these games i was a born again football gamer and that is after playing the EA games from way back in 94, i have purchased and played every Fifa release and of late cursed at the current crop from EA, i honestly feel at the moment that EA have hit the proverbial Brick Shytehouse with there football games and they are of no use to anyone who really want to play a better standard of game, i can also understand that many of the younger guys who use these forums havn't got the resources to go out and purchase a Ps2 and Pes, and very quietly i would also think that most of the younger guys would be totaly pissed off by not being able to access that option and as a sign of retaliation vent there anger via the forums, any way back to Iss, mate if you need any help with Epsxe or indeed the Iss games why not have a think about it and drop a reply back in here when ever you feel like it .... Ned :)

"Oh my god... a wish list for FIFA WC 2002??? After the garbage they just fed you, you're already going back for seconds?? This is truly pathetic."

That may be your opinion, but it's not like you have to try and push your opinion on someone - I mean, for example, what if everyone turned around and said ISS or PES sucked? Would you listen to them if you liked it? I doubt it!

"What can I say...it's the truth. Is is that hard for you to bear?"

Ditto from above

"You see...I HAVE played them both. You should play an ISS game and then come talk to me and tell me if you're still a FIFA fan."

Ditto again from above

Mate, from where I come from, and everywhere else I know of, it is common practice to allow someone to make up for their own minds what a game is like, and not for some dickhead from an online forum to come along and call you pathetic for posting in a forum to list improvements for a game. What you and all your PES/ISS loving fans is to go and play your game, post in your own forums, and stop whinging about a game you don't even play!

After all, everyone is different and has their own opinions - mine is that FIFA 2002 is good but not perfect, and is the best option for me because I see a PS2 as a waste of money (all you can do is play games and then have to upgrade to another machine altogether), whereas my PC can last for ages playing games and then I can cheaply upgrade it if I choose. Plus is does more than play games :-)

Cheers

AJ

1. the same controls as FIFA 2002, but I want the computer to be more intelligent as in Pro Evolution (actually passes the ball around, and when the front runner has it, he doesn't do some bizarre lob backwards when he has a perfectly open shot at the goal - that's mainly on professional mode though)

2. I want my players to run around the pitch, and actually get open - but as is usually the case, my teammates just sit there next to a man-marker saying to himself "don't pass to me, don't pass to me."

3. I want national violence - for instance, if the Ref rewards the other team with a penalty kick, I want Figo to come out and kick the referree - or perhaps, when I play in Uruguay, I want the option for my players to form a defensive circle so they can spit back effectively.

4. how come almost every team in UEFA has their official national kits, but Germany and Portugal get some generic looking crap? That's gotta change next time. (PS1 version)

my hopes and wishes for fifa2k2 world cup:

1) fix all the bugs that others have been bitching about (lob crosses, tackles, shots, etc. etc.)

2) improved faces. this one is a must
3) more realistic player statistics. come on, david beckham with a mere 80+ overall?
4) make control like fifa 99. or at least have an option that will enable it (ctrl alt like, and easier skills, e.g. ctrl +d)
5) about wish number 1: more realistic tackles (better still AI-assisted, like fifa 99) more cpu fouls and bookings, offsides, injuries, have them at least do it and get some bookings. i seem to be the one getting all the bookings. IGM. better team management. fifa2k2 has gone far more simpler. easier player switching. usually has to do it a few times before getting switched to the player i want to control. sucks.
6) what's up with the player names? no. 1? no. 2?
7) training mode. everybody knows the big changes they made to fifa2k2.

MINOR things i would like added (or changed)
1) where's the option to control the timer? i like it out-of-play and there isn't an option to change that
2) crowds. they fill the stadium everytime there's a match. that isn't very realistic
3) the tele cam. it's zoomed in too close to the field. now i have no choice but to use the tower cam, but i don't like it, too far, can't get the feel...
4) more balls, faces, boots, etc etc already included in the cd. so we can chhoose em right from the cd before really going to download them
5) where's the key to push and whack other players?

that should be all for now, post more if i can think of any. most of them have already been mentioned.

i don't come here to compare or insult or whatever games (iss and fifa) since i've already bought it what else could i do than to sit and wait for a new version, patch or something. and even of some other players here give opinion, as they'd like to put it, they shouldn't be so vulgar. just a comment.

fifa wc2002 need everything u typed and 1 more thing.
Better goalkeeper animations!!!
Saves and everything are great, but for instance when he gets a goal, he immediatly stands up, but in RL goalkeeper stays on the floor. Those post goal celebrations show the goalkeeper on the floor, but when he gets the goal you see him get up very quickly like he is on fire.
And for instance when he makes a dive save and an opponent player is in front of him, he should lay down a little bit more, and wait for the player to leave or something. It just bothers me that the keeper gets up so quickly. it ruins the great save :).

Parra Power

7. Easier Tackling
Slide tackles easier to pull off. Missing tackles all the time is annoying.

8. Championship Manager like season.
Make the season mode like Championship manager except that you control the players. The season mode goes on forever with players made up as real ones retire.

when creating the groups in a custom tournament or any tournament instead of randomise you should be able to drag each team and swap them that way you actually get the groups YOU want instead of having to randomise 6285 times!!!!

My suggestion List:

1. Multiplayer Tournaments & Seasons (ALL of them... NOT JUST CUSTOM TOURNAMENTS)

2. Indoor Stadium

3. Having the ability to create AUSTRALIAN players! (amazingly there is no Australia under a players Nationality... whereas there is AMERICAN SAMOA and that non-existent country (I think it's Taiwan))!

4.
when creating the groups in a custom tournament or any tournament instead of randomise you should be able to drag each team and swap them that way you actually get the groups YOU want instead of having to randomise 6285 times!!!!

5. The ability to play the offside trap

6. Slide Tackles that don't always result in a foul when the Ref has the slidebar 1/4 from the bottom!

7. The most important...

A BUG FREE GAME!

Especially team Management that actually works!

more cards, more injuries.

First. there should be a player database, where you can look for a player of your interest. For example:

Wanchope

searching ...

Wanchope, Paolo
Team: Man City
Age:25
Country: Costa Rica

or:

Seaman

searching...

Seaman, David
Team: Arsenal
Country: England
That way is going to be easier to find a player.

Secondly real names for players instead of No 3 No 8

Third, you should be able to take players out and in on a national team, (if you are playing with france, you take in and out french players, only) for example: out blanc and in B. lama, is just an example.

4-. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT I THINK, when creating the groups in a custom tournament or any tournament instead of randomise you should be able to drag each team and swap them that way you actually get the groups YOU want instead of having to randomise 6285 times!!!!
