A replacement for Fowler could possibly be Kevin Phillips or Frederic Kanoute. I think Kanoute would want to leave West Ham cos they are ****e.

No we could never replace his 3 goals (all in one game) in something like 12 matches this season... :rolleyes:

Besides, he WANTED to leave, what was Houllier supposed to do, get on his hands and knees and beg? Owen has more goals already THIS season for club and country than Fowler did ALL last seeason.

NO !! Liverpool shouldn't buy a striker! Liverpool already have Litmanen, Owen and Heskey. Litmanen has to play more every time he plays he's the man of the match and he transforms any game. The game is like art when he's on the pitch. I agree with Kader Liverpool need defenders. They already have very good defenders like Sami Hyypiä but they need a few more. I think Liverpool should buy Hannu Tihinen. He partners Hyypiä very well in Finland's defence and if they'd both play for 'Pool they'd be unstoppable!

two player Ive rated highly are Demis Nikolaidis and Nikos Tsartas of AEK Athens the 2 look very very good players and probably the type that would be a nice addition to the Liverpool team.

at the moment we should be fine.. if we can keep owen fit for the whole season... but we will really need a backup striker.. lots of candidate for this but we will have to see in the weeks to come...
