Everyone who plays Fifa 2000 seems to agree the pitch is too small. But are there any designers out there who know if it would be possible to shrink the player models and goal net models as a compromise

I tink it is possible, but you really need a good t3d editor.

Drinky, any thoughts? Do you know if anyone's tried this yet?

No idea. If anyone would know, Rimo would. I suggest giving him a mail.

fifamania is working on a t3d editor.
maybe they can create smaller players... but i think then they will miss the balls sometime because that's all pre-set

but if it will work it will be very cool

Agreed. And I'll take missing the ball occasionally, as that actually happens in real life. If nothing else, it'll give the game more shelf life and some good ideas for making Fifa 2001 more realistic -- 'cos we all know EA Sports' chances of getting it right out of the box are about as remote as asmy possibilities of marrying Ms. Universe.

I think will be very difficult because, as far as i remember one of the guys from EA SPORT said in a interview that, if the pitch should be larger they would have to change the hole game concept of FIFA soccergame serie. in other words even if you shrink the players and compromise the goals it will still be the same, the only change there will be is the look of the game, it would look more like sensibel soccer than FIFA 2000 from EAsport.
