I just got FIFA 2000 for the PC, and I can't play defense to save my life! EVERY corner kick the computer gets, they score. How do I defend the corner kick?

No Need to play FIFA2000 already, go and try ISS Pro Evolution..even though the European version commentary is kinda errr..not that good compared from the Japanese version..but because of the English language interface, most of us chosen the European version because it's more easy to understand.

If you wanna ungrade your pc..must as well take the money and buy the PS and play the ISS game.. you won't regret it my man

Ahhh, the dreaded corner kick. There are a few things you can do other than pray (although a little prayer when the kick will decide who advances in the elimination tourny won't hurt http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif )

Sometimes, just sometimes, if the ball touches the ground or if you select the player on your team that is near the guy who is going to receive the ball you can foul him and send him down, the ball will bounce harmlessly away from the box. But you run the risk of getting called for a penalty kick. I don't mind since I have at least a chance of blocking the PK rather than no chance of blocking a corner.

Another thing that I have found to be helpful is this. When the ball is kicked choose a player in the box. The PC picks the one nearest to where the ball is headed. If you have a good position, do this. Hold the Shot button down and place your controller direction toward the other net. If your defender is any good, he will clear the ball with a header, but if he sucks, well all you will hear is the roar of the crowd filling the stadium.

Good luck http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thx for the assistance fifafanatic. It's just kinda cheesy that over 50% of the corners seem to become goals for the computer. I will give your suggestions a shot.
