Hi everyone.
Want to make the best patch ever? Using this friendly version of the soccer.ini file you can tweak the most importants features of the game. You can download the file here (http://www.geocities.com/cdmdp13/downloads/fifa2002.html) then tweak it and save it to your FIFA 2002 folder (don't forget to backup the original file).
Need more info? Read on!
The objective of this soccer.ini patch is to allow EVERYONE to finetune FIFA 2002 the way they want it.
All the options included in this ini file are explained and grouped in a more friendly order (notice that not all the options from ini.big are actually in the file, only the most important ones and the ones I can explain). The original values appear first commented, the actual value appear after the explanations.
I did some tweaking myself, but because you can see the original values you can easily undo my changes, here's a short list of changes I've made:
- Players get tired faster
- The ball bounces more and its velocity is a little faster
- CPU initiated runs may go offside
- Higher chance of a player been injured or winded (from 10% to 20%) in a collision
You can tweak MANY other things using this file (including passing, shoting, injuries, stamina, ball physics, etc.), give it a look in notepad before you try it, I think all of you will like it. (You can edit and save this file with notepad, you will not need and hex editor or the dos edit, thanks to fifafx for pointing this out)
