After seeing ginola sent off for a trademark idiotic act got me thinking what is the craziest / stupidest send off youve seen ???

I can't remember the players names but this is something that happened more than once I'm sure.
The referee sending the wrong player off the field, that's always really dumb.

Seen players getting sent off for celebrating a goal (2nd yellow for over-elaboration, removing t-shirt). Saw someone get sent off (2nd yellow) for walking off the pitch too slowly when being substituted. Saw Gazza get sent off after the ref dropped his cards and Gazza picked them up and pretended to send the ref off before handing them back. Actually that is probably the stupidest sending off I've ever seen. Talk about an uptight ref.

I've never see this particular sending off, found out this one on Sopccer Special on Sky Sports, it occured several seasons ago

It was a Scottish game between Motherwell and some other team, but from outside the Old Firm when a player called Twaddle was booked. The ref asked for the players name. The player gave his name and the ref sent him off!!!

I don't remember what team it was or the players name. He was a striker and he was running up the right side of the field. The defender was pulling his t-shirt, and I mean really pulling it, so the ref whistled for the foul. The striker jokingly started taking of his shirt as if to give it to the defender. The ref came over and gave him a yellow for it and that was his second yellow.
