MARSHALL GORRIE:D ytwoaone 11-12-2001, 02:43:AM He won't go to Man Utd when Fergie retires. O'Neill will want to gain success with Celtic in the CL or at least some good runs in the CL, at the least a QF. Utd will have few contenders to choose from, but when Fergie's sucessor leaves Utd then there'll be a posse of applicants for the job. Dirlewanger 11-12-2001, 02:49:AM yep, no chance is he gonna leave the tims mhflierman 11-12-2001, 04:10:AM Originally posted by ytwoaone He won't go to Man Utd when Fergie retires. Obviously Celtic will never be in the QF of the CL, well not in the coming years, simply because they aren't good enough. So if O'neill is waiting for that to happen he's a bit stupid. I hope he's smart and will go to ManUtd because I rate him as a very, very good manager. Tactically very good. Jambo Den 11-12-2001, 05:24:AM the temptation of United will be far too big for O'Neill, but it will be difficult to leave Celtic because he is a god to the tinks(means gypsies, since people have been complaining about my scottish slang);) bex7 11-12-2001, 07:04:AM I think they might ask Dick Advocat or Van Gaal to take the job. But i dunno. I would have reccomended David Moyes, the Preston Manager. He's an excellent tactician and player motivator, I like his managment methods. IceBlu 11-12-2001, 07:14:AM THE REASON WHY HE WON'T LEAVE CELTIC He's a big shareholder in Celtic himself , so he'll definately stay with them:o ShearerM4 11-12-2001, 07:59:AM does this actually have any backing or is it just a idea like that ?? anyway who's to say that Ferggie will retire if the season for ManU continues on these tracks ? He might wanna end on a high or who's to say he won't be sacked before May ?? :crazyboy: :crazyboy: (2 good points) mhflierman 11-12-2001, 07:59:AM Originally posted by bex7 I think they might ask Dick Advocat or Van Gaal to take the job. But if Van Gaal becomes manager then I'll probably commit suicide. That man is the most overrated manager in history. He's arrogant, stubborn and coaches like a schoolteacher. That's also why Holland didn't qualify for the WC. And I can know because I am dutch :) |
