for 1 world class is easy but what really gets under me skin is that you can be running with a player that is a 6 speed and a computer player with a 3 is much faster. this is stupid.
2nd the players dont go to the ball when you pass it to them.

3rd players head harder than they can shoot.

ea you blow

here is how i would improve the game

1. ea needs to fix how the defenders and forwards stand at the top of the 6 yard box when the midfielders are like 20-30 yards out with the ball, all you have to do is pass it to the forward who is 10 feet from the goal and onetime it in, this sucks, no defender would sit back like that.

2. greater managment, select to have players check to the ball, forwards make crossing runs.

3. you should beable to send a ball over the top of the defense to the corners, maybe by holding l2 or r2 and the button for lob to send it to left or right corner, sometimes you want to send a quick forward on a run.

4. whenever i send i a cross there is on 4 people or 2 people in the box, my 2 forwards and 2 defenders or 1 forward and defender, if the winger has it in the corner, both forwards should be in the box, 1 centre midfielder should check to the winger in the corner, the other should crash the box, and the opposite side winger should also crash the box, there should be about 8 guys in the box total 4 from each team about, this is more realist, all challenging for the ball.

5. keepers should sometimes miss the ball and take the player down in the box when the come out, and also get cards, keepers always take players down.

6. longsleeve jerseys

7. you should be able to take a player that got a red card of the bench and into the reserves, it is stupid to have him on the bench as a sub but you are unable to select him and move him to the reserves.

8. freekicks should beable to dip like beckham's

9. why is it that players can kick the ball the whole length of the field in the air.

10. your players should pass the ball to your players and not the computer, most of the time when i have the ball an i want to pass it to another player with a defender that is kind of close to him when i pass it it makes the pass go straight to the defend so he steals it, if ea wants to make world class better they should make world class skills better not make your players skills worse, and also it is stupid on world class when i have a forward with 6 speed and he is on a clear break away and a defender with a 3 can easily catch him come on, you can't always make the computer players faster.

if you have any thoughts just post a reply.

i agree with u, this is the best post that criticises fifa2k, i would also like to add larger fields and a complete new goalkeeping motion capture, keepers suck big time really.
ea sports lost it this year.

i will add all replies to a list and post the total list of our improvements soon.

They should have more consecutive than 3 they should have at least 10.So,lets say you take a little swedish team and build them up through the seasons to become the strongest side in Europe.this would be fun buying and selling players through the years.

Celtic how is this fun, i dont see it?
The player attributes dont change from season to season. Plus you would be playing ten seasons with basically the same pool of players.

If they did it like this I think it would be fun: give us all the major players and teams from lets say decade of 90s, so for example you would start with Maradona or Cantona were the best player in the world, and Napoli is still in seria A, and with each season players would age and retire as in real life, while new real players would come into league, like Ronaldo, Beckham etc. up to the present.

But the way it is now the whole consecutive season concept is a waste.

I'll have to agree with you there

I have been looking for a review of F2K in a computer gaming magazine and the first one I saw was in "INcite" magazine, the January edition. It rates F2K 5 stars out of 5!!!! Almost totally absent of criticism. Does EA Sports OWN "INcite"? Actually, Beckham-Leyton's criticism is too much of a wish-list and goes beyond the pale (freekicks dipping like Beckham's? Hell, how about Posh Spice sitting in the stands when Beckham plays?) But there are VERY annoying glitches which will become the bane of EA's hopes for the game (the inability of the 2nd player to go for the ball is an excellent point. I thought it was just my limited finger skills). I was extremely disappointed when I first bought the game, but have moderated my views. Now I just think that EA Sports had a deadline to make (Christmas season) and decided that was enough fine-tuning, so they released it. A concern to all of us who relish accuracy is EA's decision to turn NHL2000 into more of an arcade-style game, sacrificing realism (see Computer Gaming World's most recent issue). If this is EA's corporate position, then we can expect less realism and more cartoon-like behavior in their games. It took me about 20 games to master the "Professional" level to the point that I could dominate the AI. I'm working on the World Class level now. I don't relish the prospect of Michael Owen scoring 60 goals for me in the Premiership, but once you figure out how the handle the AI, that's what happens and then you start looking for the slot to put your change into.

I have several counters to the points made by beckham-leyton.

5) L1 on the game pad or its equivalent makes the keeper come out. I always take down teh player and yes there are no cards. I like that though (since I am a keeper in real life) =)

8)Too much coding and programming involved. Just hit the ball softer.. or create a different dead ball play

10)L1 strikes again.. try it

About the seasons... we can't have it both ways.. CM or FIFA to do both and do them well it would take 2 CD's and probably 3/4 of a Gig to make it all work. Then people would complain it is too hard or that the jersies suck. You can't win. Personally I like the game and so do my friends. So just relax the time will come when there is a perfect game but that time is a ways off and this is just a small step towards it.

I have to say I agree with most of the points listed but we probably can't expect everything. Significant game play & realism adjustments are definitely needed. It shouldn't be that difficult. They just made everything to aggressive (attacking strategies, player values etc.)

I think long sleeves would be cool. It would be nice if they could set it up so you could pick which kits you want the teams to wear (like NHL2000) and get rid of kit clashing. When I adjusted Chelsea's blue making it a shade darker and played Coventry the kit clashing didn't work, they both wore blue and it was really annoying.

You should also include comments about the league and team selections in your list. (See other posts) Portuguese league should be there instead of Israel. And where is Portugal, Rep. of Ireland, Czech Rep., Russia and Ukraine? Maybe you can't satisfy everyone but come on, some of the choices were rediculous.

What about the offsides?

1- I've already suffered several ridiculous goals from the computer opponent team, just because they had a forward all alone who received a pass, from HIS teammates. But he was clearly offside and the referee didn't move a finger to stop him! My poor defenders ran and ran as fast as they could, eeer... well you know, like slugs.

But even as slugs they would have been able to prevent the goals if those rotten forwards hadn't been 2 or 3 meters ahead of my defense line! I checked the replays! (Has corruption reached virtual referees too!?)

2- On the other hand, sometimes the referee stops the game because there is some poor fellow in the front, but he interrupts it before anyone has the chance of touching the ball. The football rules however, say that he should only interrupt the game if THAT offside player participates in that specific play. But this is not as serious as the first point.

So ppppppplease, EA Sports: get the man some linesmen! Or at least a pair of glasses for his myopia...

What about off the ball runs? In Fifa99, one of my favorite offensive plays was gaining control of a different player(a player other than the one who has the ball) and having him make a run cutting through defense or around them and then making the beautiful pass to that playe. i could also press a button and the computer would have a random player on my team make the run and i could elect to pass it to him or press the button again making a different player make the run(i believe it was the C button). I haven't heard anyone mention this yet, i think EA made a mistake by taking it out, maybe they can put it in a patch?

headers are hit too hard almost like a shot, why cant we head down like in fifa98 either.
