Montevideo was such a dissapointment: but can't Australia make it to the world cup? afterall, Australia is world champs in half a dozen of sports: rugby union and league, netball, hockey, cricket. Why not soccer?

Ruben Sosa 29-12-2001, 01:09:PM can't win, don't try... just kidding. :D terrorcop 29-12-2001, 05:36:PM well they cant be champs at all sports you know ... leungtl 29-12-2001, 09:06:PM Why not? I don't see any reason why not... :D Dhruv 29-12-2001, 09:27:PM Alright they are champs in many sports...but football is really different...the teams involved are quite many when compared to other sports...they need to have more players who play outside aus. leungtl 29-12-2001, 09:51:PM We'd whip every countrys butt in football (AFL :D)... They need to expand AFL to every country... Then it would be another trophy in Australia's case :) Dhruv 29-12-2001, 09:59:PM 1st you'll have to qualify mate..and that would be another 4 yrs.. The FIFA RTWC Webmaster 30-12-2001, 01:43:AM They will have to win the important qualifying games. As they have not managed in their recent opportunities. jimmyzhl 30-12-2001, 04:40:PM Originally posted by jeffm1206 Montevideo was such a dissapointment: but can't Australia make it to the world cup? afterall, Australia is world champs in half a dozen of sports: rugby union and league, netball, hockey, cricket.
