View Full Version : Serie A is gettin really tight.
The table.
Inter 34 (Rodildo and Vieri are back and firing!)
Roma 33 (Looking for back-to-back)
Chievo 29 (Starting to slip, a suprise packet, very capable)
Juventus 28 (need to string some wins togehter and stop drawing, nice win over Bresica 4-0 though)
Milan 27 (Inconsistent)
Lazio 24 (On the comeback after Zoff's failure)
*Chievo and Lazio match last round postponed. They both have a game in hand.
Parra Power 31-12-2001, 01:34:PM Well, all of them will fall, leaving Milan to top spot. :)
Nah, Chievo will fall a bit and miss out on the UEFA Cup. The others, i'm not so sure abot.
Ubik Valis 01-01-2002, 12:13:AM *crosses fingers for Juve* :)
Dirlewanger 01-01-2002, 01:54:AM internazionale have suprised me,
looks like the usual season for milan ac,
still gotta fancy as roma though
I think Roma will do it! They are all very strong sides, but I think Roma are the best equipped. They have players that can change things instatly!
bertkamp16 01-01-2002, 04:05:AM I think it will be Internazionzle Milan all the way. The way Bobo is playing and with Ro making his comeback, I'm sure we'll be at the top of the table come season's end. Boy, I can't wait to get an Inter jersey with the Scudetto on it!
AberdeenFC 01-01-2002, 05:50:AM I'm hoping Inter can win it but I think that Roma will win the league in the end :(
Jambo Den 01-01-2002, 07:00:AM I'd love to see Chievo sustain their challaenge, but it aint gonna happen.I can imagine AS Roma doing it again......
So many strong, quality teams who can go all the way with their title campaign besides Chievo. I think Uefa Cup, finsh in 5th or 6th. Perhaps Inter-toto. Out of the other top teams all about how much they want to win. which I think is JUve's problem, hope they go further, I can't really see it, I think 3rd.
Amika 01-01-2002, 05:33:PM yape.. so does in the EPL.. only one point separate from all the team on the top 5..
IceBlu 03-01-2002, 07:52:AM Common Juve !!!!!!!!!!
the new players Juve will buy will bring some juice into the team !!:D

You already do
all you do is bitch about how no one talks about Serie A. when all you do is try to bring it up in EPL threads
Joe was just making a comment, it's called a taste of your own medicane man
jeffm1206 03-01-2002, 08:16:PM GO JUVE!
They're always gonna struggle a little losing zidane and inzaghi, but there's plenty of talent.
Parra Power 03-01-2002, 09:42:PM Well, an EPL supporter told us to make threads about the Serie A if we want to talk about the Serie A, and look what happens when we do. Some #^$&*@! changes the topic and talks about the EPL. And then you accuse us of bitching...
monkee 04-01-2002, 01:16:AM I don't believe it whenever a thread on the Premier League is started someone comes along and starts saying the Premiership is rubbish, why don't we talk about Serie A or something. :D
The Premier League is close this year, I agree. Looks like the Serie A is too.
AberdeenFC 04-01-2002, 01:27:AM nah lets talk bout the spl, 1st place bein about 10 points clear or 2nd :P
monkee 04-01-2002, 01:39:AM Another thing about the mediterraenean leagues... How come they get a winter break? As if they play too many games and need a break, or the weather's too cold (this winter being an exception).
Next thing you know the clubs are going to be asking their kit manufacturers to make their kits out of cotton wool, or make the goal posts out of jelly, or a foam pitch.

Stop followong me around and stop pissing me off......
go take a wank or something......
bertkamp16 04-01-2002, 05:48:AM Before I start, I want to let you all that I'm as big a fan of the EPL as I am of Serie A ( Just look at my sig!!). They are both great leagues. But I really don't understand when the guys that prefer Serie A try to put down the EPL. It has been well publicized that Serie A is having a downward spell (for the best example, look at Serie A's showing in the Champion's League and UEFA Cup last year, their Champ's League run was the worst in 19 years) the last couple of years, while the EPL has never been stronger. I'm not trying to put down Serie A, regardless of their bad luck these last couple of years, I'm still a huge fan, but these are the facts. Serie A guys, think with your head, not your heart. Though Serie A is getting back on it's feet, their teams are doing great in Europe lately, but they definitely have something to prove.

IceBlu 04-01-2002, 09:20:AM Peace......
good ol ZePen.........:D
I've come to realise that.............. SERIE A ROCKS.
Amika 04-01-2002, 02:09:PM come on guys.. all i said was that EPL is as close as serie A.. is that saying EPL is better than serie A?? no right.... it is just a comment only... cool down.. i don't want to be the one that start a war better serie A and EPL supporters in this forum...;)
Amika 04-01-2002, 02:14:PM yoh.. guys.. i notice something about serie A.. the stadium always seem to be empty when some of the not so popular team played.. i remember one match in particular involving florientina against another team (can't remember) the stadium is almost empty.. what is the problem?? p.s.. i'm not starting a war:D just curious on this matter..
IceBlu 04-01-2002, 04:14:PM thats because the SerieA supportors have very strong union bases and they boycott matches in mass if the team is doing badly as a sign of protest.
Also note the weather in Italy is very finiky compared to other european nations.
Soccer is the only "HUGE" sport in Italy and so the question of not being popular does not arise.
