Hi everyone, I just downloaded the game yesterday, and all I've played until now is just euro2000 qualifying and a friendly.
If you're looking for a major graphics improvement.... I'm sorry to be the one to break this to you, but you'll find yourself with fifa2000 with a few changes.
good features:
-Players get dirty as the game goes one.
-In rain mode, the rain doesn't start at the very beginning, it will start as the game goes on.
-When a player has the ball, his name will appear on the screen at the upper-right corner along with the country's flag.
-AI, now this is a very good one, although there isn't really a dramatic change, but the game is more enjoyable and realistic, which is what we all want, right?.
-In-game graphics layout, looking pretty good.
-Menus, if you like the virtual pictures, also, one good thing is that if you win, the after-game menu will show you a happy fan on the stands, if you tie, a girl leaving the stands sort of satisfied, and if you lose, you'll see a fan with his head down, I don't know if any of you have noticed this.
In the middle:
-Corner kick cameras
-Replay layout (it's interesting, but at least for me, it makes it more hard to control the Free style camera).
-Dragging menu to choose teams. Again, it's a new feature, it's alright, but I think the arrow is more accesible.
The bad side of the game:
-Sorry guys, same pitch
-When the player has the ball, you'll see a colored circle right? well, this, along with the power arrow is the same as fifa2000, so it sort of gives that fifa2000 feeling to the game which we didn't enjoy much.
-Player faces. If you thought fifa2000 facial graphics was bad, believe me, this is worst. (by the way, the face looks like that crazy and funny guy from MTV, forgot his name).
-Stadium crowd. Now this one here has got to be the worst of all. Remember the "cartooney" crowd from fifa2000? Well, this one is not far off, only with differente color, and guess what? STILL, no motion. Whenever there's a player close-up and you get to see the crowd, you'll notice that there's GIGANTIC people on the stands and it looks pretty bad.
That's be all as of now, since I'm only making this review from playing it a couple of hours and haven't really experienced the whole game yet.
Bottom line, if the game costs $20 go out and get it, otherwise, either get it from your buddy or anywhere else....
Not really worth the money (and yes, $40 is a lot of money even if you live in USA, unless you have a rich parent who doesn't care to spend his "easy-earned" income).

If game play is most important. Then go out and get it. It is good, a small improvement from Fifa2k. Feels much better, you can even play on slow (feels laggy), good for all of those complainers. If you lean more towards graphics, they feel plastic, nothing to see here. If you like playing with a buddy you're out of luck, unless you wish to play on the same team since there is a limit of one team allowed to be selected. The menus are a tad harder to operate, but look cooler.
