Drinky ,u keep deleting messages that have warez messages.If im correct ,everyone just talks about the game Euro2000 .What the hell do u have against Warez .Sure ,it is illegal,but yet its like a video store ,lets take an example ,I had downloaded CM99/00 ,after 2 weeks,i finally bought the game ,another example,i had downloaded fifa2000,i deleted that game in less than 6 weeks .So in a way ,Warez can be useful .

I don't care whether you go out and buy two hundred copies of each game you warez, the cold hard fact is that distibution of it is illegal, and if these forums carry warez URLs then its proprietors are liable to a lawsuit. I do not want to see Soccer Gaming in the dock or picking up a reputation for being the place to go if you want free warez URLs. There are plenty of newsgroups out there - use them if you want freedom of speech. Here though, you have to abide by our rules, and if we say 'No warez' then that is the last word on the subject.

You gotta be kidding me ,they cant sue us,they can sue probably the warez sites but not the ones that download the game .If Warez is illegal ,why hasnt anyone arrested anyone?

Paolo - I don't wanna be dragged into this warez is it good or not debate, but how much did you pay to download fifa2000 ?? It's nothing like a video store, unless the video store you use pirates all their videos and gives it to you for free.

now how can anyone sue the warez sites, if they don't know who's running it and from where.

I know I'm pretty new to this forum but just thought I'd join the debate. There is nothing illegal about advertising warez sites here, however, it is not worth the risk. A message board here (UK) that carried material that should have been deleted got a isp into alot of trouble and they lost a suit in court, not to say the same will happen with this board.
Is this board run from US? If so surely you have to be more careful as in court cases US courts award alot higher damages than UK and even though I have only just started visiting this site I would hate to see it vanish as people here have already helped me out on a couple of issues.

Well guys, Drinky and DS have a point here. First of all, when we use this forum we should understand that we have to act according to the rules. It's their site and they have both the right and responsibility to know what goes on here.

On the other hand, the site can get in trouble if this turns into a warez links forum. You can't complain for not having freedom, because you have the whole internet to exchange info, and only now have the moderators started to be more strict.

So, it's not a question of Drinky becoming your priest or something, punishing you for bad behaviour. We just have to understand that they've got the right to prevent anything bad happening to them.
