No it doesnt appear to be possible to stop kit clashing as such, you basically have to decide before hand which teams are going to be which based on the teams you are using and try to marry teams in the original game to teams you want to change.

search in this forum for master league there is a recent thread which tells you how to do this stuff, you dont actually edit directly the players, you "copy" them from existing teams....

what do you mean exactly by "copy"? because i already know how to change the master league teams. i wanted to know if you could change players by changing their name, hair, etc.

it must be possible to change these players as their attributes must be stored in the .bin file like the players on the international teams - it's just a question of locating the relevant part of the .bin file - can anyone point rvd in the right direction

They can be changed, just use ISSPRO2ED...

Right it depends what team you want to edit, if you wish to edit the default team you should be able to do this thru isspro2edit in theory although Ze Penguin had problems.

If you are talking about the other teams, then this I believe is done by pointing the team to each player you want i.e. player 00 of team 00 is the EIRE goalkeeper. Therefore the players attribs are not stored as such it is acting as a pointer to the international data...

Thats how I understood what people had put in these forums?

and how would i edit the default team players using isspro2edit?

open up the bin file using isspro2edit, scroll down to the bottom of the box on the left and select Master League Players, you should see the default team players plus those who aren't 'internationals'

double-click in the grid on the player you wish to edit and an edit panel will appear allowing you to change the attributes

amazing! i didn't realise you could do this - i'm sure i've tried double-clicking in the grid before but nothing happened!

er, yes, you're right - I've just tried this and the updated bin crashes in ePSXe and gives the following msg in the dos window

Opcode 19 UNK <PC 00010be8> <1278,144>

back to the drawing board!

I'm sure there is a way to reslove kit clashing, but nobody(as far as I know and I've been away for a while) has found where the colors for the kits that the cpu uses to avoid kit clashing are hidden. I'm sure they are somewhere, because giving each clash between two teams a given combination of kits(like Holland - England, kit1 - kit1; Italy - France, kit1 - kit2) would require a lot more code (I think).

Youre right, and my guess is that it is in the first 40MB or so, maybe using cluted would give us some ideas... look for the correct colour patterns.. (green, white, green, white, blue, pink,..)

from the web somewhere - not sure which site - it is available from iss extreme

you get a tree structure showing the team names in the left hand panel and the right hand panel shows the players and their attributes for the selected team

btw - have you registered the dll that comes with the download?

You should have this in the readme.txt:

[Installation]
Just unzip the file and run isspro2edit.exe.
notice:
You might have to install "Msflxgrd.ocx" first.
1.copy the file "Msflxgrd.ocx" into windows system directory, e.g. "c:\windows\system".
2.register the file, e.g. "Start"-->"Run"-->"regsvr32 c:\windows\system\Msflxgrd.ocx".
