Look i have lost my patience with EA as well as many of forum posters appear to have as well. There is only one way to show our disgust and lack of satisfaction from there recent releases and that is Boycott all future Fifa soccer Releases . Loyal Fifa buyers like us all are the people who keep EA in business... well to an extent, show them our disgust and refuse to buy this years world cup release and next years fifa 2003 and show in numbers the growing dissapointment sourounding Fifa soccer games.

If we keep buy there games thinking they will eventually get better then they have won and the games are gonna get crappier .

i do not agree anymore that fifa is the best on pc. Kickoff 2002 is the new footy game on the pc. Oke the graphics are not that good, but the gameplay is much better.

Frenkel,
I have to disagree with you. I tried the Kickoff 2002 demo and wasn't very satisfied. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance but it didn't do much for me. I didn't like the camera view I had to play in and couldn't figure out how to change it. Also, the player movements seemed too "robotic" and not very realistic. I'm sure there are ways to tweak the game a little as well as better options in the full version. I'm sure the demo version has its limitations but if the demo doesn't allow me to see most of the game options then its not really going to grab my interest. Unfortunately, here in the USA, there is not a wide variety of soccer pc games to choose from. The FIFA series is the most easily accessable here but I am open to trying other games as well. Although FIFA games do have their ups and downs, at least there are plenty of patches to change the game and make it much better than the way EA presents it to the consumer. I've got Viva Soccer World Cup which isn't bad for a game that's at least three years old. I do find that FIFA RTWC 98 is still a better world cup game though. Maybe in the future Kickoff 2002 will become a decent game after more exposure, but until then I have to do the best with what I've got and right now EA FIFA is all I've got! And, no I will not invest in a console since I've had plenty (I've still got my old Atari 7800!) and can't see wasting my money on the newer consoles since a pc game will always be able to be upgraded. Oh well, that's just my opinion. Peace

It won't happen. How can every FIFA buyer in the world read this thread telling them to boycott FIFA? So far only 129 people have looked at this thread.

Unless you can find a way to tell every FIFA player all over the world, it will never happen.

Uefa Champions League: Season 2001/2002 should be released soon (PC and PS2).
I think that is a decent rival for FIFA (the graphics are better, let's hope the game play is better as well)

Or DOG how bout u just not buy it and quit complaining?Eh? Everyone is entitled to their own opinons and u should respect that and not BOYCOTT the EA industry, ok so they're not the greatest gameplay makers, but have u seen how in depth they go on it and how the graphics have improved, and their attempt to create passinng interesting as well as shots, i think they deserve some credit, how bout u just go make ur own game by yourself and send it to us, then once everyone thinks it is AMAZING then only then can u diss EA. so fifa 2002 is good and so on will be better, thanks to Nick Clubman it's even better with his new gameply patch, and i'm sure there will be plenty of contributors, so forget the boycott!!

Fact: FIFA 2002 is rubbish and the gameplay is pants
Fact: EA's FIFA producers don't give a toss what we want
Fact: Not all EA's games are bad - only the FIFA series sucks
Fact: PES outsold FIFA 2002 on the PS2 by a mile
Fact: Less people are involved in the FIFA community these days

But the biggest fact is that it's easier said than done for people to boycott future FIFA games. With hardly any alternatives, what else are PC owning football gamers going to buy? I just hope that the outselling of FIFA 2002 by PES on the PS2 will make EA's deaf FIFA producers sit up and take notice that their big mistakes, arrogant attitude and cash cow orientation is not working, and so they will put a lot more effort into WC2002.

Myself I can't see it happening but who knows?

I have lost a lot of faith in the FIFA series also. That's one of the reason's I may be giving up FIFA Oceania and puesuing my Xbox site instead. My site only had one main attraction, the NSL Patch, and I was so bored making that. I am bored with FIFA fullstop. Once Xbox and Gamecube is released gamers will have more choice in the console market (even though many will stay with the PC) and the increasinly liklehood of online mulitplayer games via the internet on the consoles the PC gaming market is going down.

The reason's why FIFA is going down is because EA make crap products, simple. If everybody in this forum, and I mean everyone boycotted the next FIFA game, EA wouldn't care we are a relatively small percentage of their sales market. I think EA will keep making crappy FIFA games, but I won't be buying them. Give me an Xbox and ISS and you won't see me for ages :D

FIFA 2002 has not much to give to those who have played versions since fifa 1998 to fifa 2001. Grafic is better and better. But i strongly critisize that the game is not at all realistic (as it has never been). It's still a kinda flipper-game and unrealistic : too fast runners. Ideology of fifa games has not changed much since 1998 versions. And that's a pity. The game should be more tactic- and skill oriented - not speed oriented.

I think its absolutely disgraceful that EA would release a game like FIFA 2002. I know many people who have been playing this series since 1998 (like myself) but i've had enough. Forget all the patches, i mean there are some really great patches but think about the CRAP that EA originally sold you! I don't plan on buying a console and i also don't plan on buying the next EA Football game. Maybe we can't the entire FIFA community to boycott EA but i think some people will. I know i will.
