WHY?

The UEFA cup should stay the way it is... there's no need to change it!

why on earth change it

it's only the club in the Champions League that have been calling the WAFA cup euro mikey mouse or what not.

but it still counts a lot for al teams involved innit

EXACTLY! there can be no other explaination. They're just being greedy, and cannot see what financial benefits this sort of competition brings to the smaller European clubs! It's so short sighted, that it seems almost unreal. I wonder. When will these bloomin governing bodys see BEYOND THE MONEY!:mad:

more matches = more entertainment for us!! As long as the matches dont go on pay per view ****, like itv and sky sometimes do grrrrr.

i totally agreed with you on this.. and i think the only thing they should change is the 3rd place finish of the CL 1st phase team to go into the competition which devalue the competiton...

Amika, if they change it, then that would be changed also. now the 3rd place loser in the 1st round wouldn't go to the UEFA Cup. I think it would be great. Can u see an Italian Dominated Cup? I can't because Inter will be in the CL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :crazyboy:

i don't know why but in recent years italian clubs always struggle when it come to cup competition.. and can't see that improving also...

well yeah obviously the more money factor is what the FIFA thrive on .... even more so I must say do the UEFA !!!!

No it wouldn't it would lessen the entertainment value as there would be too many meaningless games like in the CL.

In my opinion I hate the CL early rounds, for this reason.

I think it's not too bad to change the system in the UEFA-cup.
They should've done that years ago, I like the poulesystem and the fact that if you can't hack it in the CL that you won't be allowed in the UEFA-cup.
Clubs like Feyenoord and so on are always lucky because they are total SH*T in the CL so they don't deserve to play in the Uefa.
