TimeHaving won all but one of their qualifying games and won their group convincingly, it may seem a little harsh that the Under-21s have to win this one-off match to secure a place in the Finals, to be held in Slovakia between 26 May and 4 June. Qualifying rules state, however, that all group winners must play-off against a runner-up from another group.

This fixture should have been played in November, on a two-legged basis, with the home leg being played at Derby's Pride Park. Fears for the safety of the England players in Yugoslavia led to the game being postponed twice, hence this one-off game at FC Barcelona's less famous stadium, where the capacity is still 30,000.

There being no Senior fixture and no Premiership football that weekend, Howard Wilkinson, the England Under-21 Team Coach, will be able to call on all eligible players, and may even select players who would normally play in the Senior side.

England have played Yugoslavia at Under-21 level four times, winning once, losing once and drawing the other two games.

The game is live on Sky. Tickets to the game at available on the night and cost between £5 and £7.

C'mon Yugoslavia

Is Pedrag Mijactovic playing, he'll score a hat trick if he does.
