I fear the English a lot, mainly for 1 reason: Paul Scholes. He runs at 1000 miles an hour, is small but heads like a God, has a great shot and his energy is amazing.
However, besides him England did not show too much, although Owen is a heck of a forward and Shearer still knows to score, I'd call it a 50-50 match, with a slight advantage for Italy if they walk away with 9 points (moral moral moral).
I speak of the Italian side which plays either Totti or Del Piero and with Inzaghi up front. The team the plays BOTH Totti and Del Piero with Delvecchio/Montella upfront should go to the finals and kick some ass; won't happen to see them this way though...

Im sure that its going to be a defensively match .Well,probably Italy will play defense and England will probably lead in possession .But Belgium found out that even when you have a lot of possession ,that doesnt mean that your going to win .for the person who said that Italy will win in penalty kicks,with the past performance in penalty kicks ,i doubt Italy would win(Italy lost tyo Argentina in PK,Italy lost to brazil in PK,Italy lost to France in PK)I guess thats an advantage for England .

What I dont like about England is that the whole team is more an attacking side than defensive.In the game Portugal-England ,it seemed that the midfielders did not want to defend wich of course cost England the match ,but they are lucky cause Italy does not have a strong offense .The only way they score is when the opponents do a big mistake .

Italy are the only team that has worse luck then england in penalty shootouts and this is a fact.

Are you joking Rossi? England an attacking side? They had 3 shots on goal against Germany, which was not surprising as they were defending with eight men, pissing their pants. According to the statistics, no other team has had less shots on goal or conceded mor shots on it's goal than England. If they go through to the quaterfinals, which would be a shame for the whole championship, Italy will kick their butt badly.
I don't understand why England have played so badly myself. Scholes, Campbell or Owen are good players.

When I said that England was offense that was for the game England-portugal and not England-Germany .The reason why they played defensively against is so that the errors that they commited in the first game dont happen again .

i don't believe that England are a powerful side that could go all the way.
they are always on the edge defensively and their strikers are in effective.
they have some good individualplayers,but till this moment they were very weak and disorganized.
they shouldn't be very happy with beating the German's who themselves may be the worst team in the tournament, and the Germans deserved a draw really, they were dangerous and they missed Bierhoff.

As you may know,If england finish 2nd,this would mean that they would face Italy in the quarter finals .The last time these two faced was during the world cup qualifyiers .Italy had beaten england 1-0 and the second game was a 0-0 draw ,but that was 2 years ago .Who do u think would win if they would face each other again?My pick would be Italy .No ,not because im Italian ,but when you look at both team,England has the advantage in midfield,but Italy is very solid in defense that it is very hard to penetrate .my prediction would be a 1-0 score for Italy .They will probably score and then use "il catenaccio"to stop England threats .What do u all think .
