I know someone was interested in doing that after crackerz showed some avatars. OK:

1. Download Ulead Gif Animator (UGA)
2. Download the Video u want to use
3. In UGA go to:
file----->open video
Select the video u wanna use

and now.....be patient ;) ;) it has to upload each frame. A video has about 10000 frames and it takes about 1.sec to upload 4 frames-now do the math:crazyboy: you don't need to upload the whole video, u can do it only with a part.

EDIT!
If you Have JASC ANIMATION SHOP its even better. You can select which frames you want to upload ex. F400 thru F600. Saves Time!

Matt: U made that Shearer avatar first-YES! I know ;) ! And animated avatars were popular for quite a while. BUT this is different ;)! I don't mean just pasting pics. Its cutting stuff from videos.

OR
You can
1) Copy the avatar from the URL that I gave
2) Go to www.gifworks.com (Online Graphic Editing)
3) Make it size to 50x50

That's all..Copy and put it as an avatar

conclusion... you are all really good in your animation...;)

yeah ok ... the video thing does look cool
sounds quite tricky though
