hermolt 19-02-2002, 11:21:PM I'm only 17, not really into my drinking prime yet.
Last Saturday consisted of 10 Victoria Bitters and a bit of bourbon.
My record is 12 James Boags', 2 Coldies and 2 Strongbows in about 5 hours.
Another brilliant night was 11 beers and 8 vodka and raspberry cans.
I tend to spew off spirits, but not beer. I can drink 12 beers no problems, but after a bottle of bourbon I am fairly rat arsed.

either your bulls.hitting or you were really pissed.
just 12 beers, believe u there but 11 beers with 8 vodkas mixed with raspberry, anyone would be completely pissed for 24 hours.

I was REALLY pissed. They were commercial vodka and rapsberries, ie out of a can, and they were 440 mL ones.
I passed out on a pool lounge before throwing up three times in the swimming pool.
I would never bullsh*t on this board...what would be the point? I don't really need any fake cyber backslaps..:p
AberdeenFC 20-02-2002, 01:22:AM TENNENTS LAGER!!!!!
INFESTA 20-02-2002, 04:28:AM I only drink when I'm partying with my friends and I won't have to drive later. Besides the compulsive beer, I drink what we call here "shots", which are small drinks, but with a high alcohol percentage. My favs are the delicious "Moranguito" and "Tequilla Bum-Bum"...hummmmm "Moranguito"...

TENNENTS LAGER!!!!!
I am a big fan of Tennent's Stout. It's probably in my Top 5 beers of all time. Plus no bugger likes stout in my friendship group, so u don't have to worry about stealing/sharing!

That beer is sh*thouse.
Can you get any other Aussie beers there??
I would recommend Carlton Draught, smooth as, I go to a pub near my friend's work that sells 2 dollar pots of this, that's about 275mL for 2 bucks, not bad here.
Also, Victoria Bitter is really famous here, good old VB is like bread and butter for me, it's a staple!:crazyboy:
If you feel rich, and can find some, try Crown Lager.

It's not even proper Fosters!
All the big names are now brewed under licence. Stella Artois is even brewed in Luton! And Carlsberg in Northampton!
I have had Tooth's and Tooey's before now, which were OK.
Bit of a stout and porter man, myself. Used to drink Ansell's Mild and Nut Brown Ale in my college days.
For parties I tend to stick to a nice soft Merlot.
Bit of a smoothie, me!:D
maddog1983 21-02-2002, 02:58:AM Yeah true crown lager is a bit on the expensive side but hey its a very quality brew , Stella is ok 5.50 pints, thats 1 pound pints stevie B (is that expensive in UK?) Fosters isnt that bad though proffessor hermolt , i read the story, but it isnt as quality as Carlton cold clearly the best beer for the working class man like myself :)
Stevie B 21-02-2002, 06:02:AM They sell Stella as being "reassuringly expensive" in this country. £1 a pint is pretty good for it. But I wouldn't pay that for it in the UK after having had it in France, where it is the real stuff!

Yah in France I bought a 10 pack of Stella for 3.50 Euro. maddog that's like 7 bucks here.
Very good sh*t, I must say.

Yup Coldies rock the house. When I went to see Jamiroquai at Vibes on a Summer's Day, they were $5.50 for a 400mL stubbie!!
Plus, it was a bitch to get into the licensed area so I kinda couldn't drink as much as I wanted. And I went home with empty pockets too!:crazyboy:
But yeah most of my mates rock up to parties with a slab of Coldies.

No they're not! They are MegaBrewery MegaBrand p*ss!
You can't compare these to Greene King Abbott Ale, Cherles Wells Bombadier, Theakston's Old Peculier, Felinfoel Double Dragon, Gales HSB, Eldridge Pope Royal Oak, Wadsworth 6X, et al.
THOSE are REAL beers!
CAMRA Rules OK!

lol
what the fark ?
Coldies are the party drink ,., but if your trying to impress bring crown and the chicks will come from miles.. as for Vibes , vibes was the most awesome thing ever ! Jamirouqui ... how ever it is spelt ... went nuts
Number9 22-02-2002, 04:47:AM Stevie B i admit they they are very comercial p*ss when compared to most local brewery beer. But unfortunately its quite hard to get any of that around here so i've been brought up with it.
Although any kind of bitter is better than drinking the sh*t lager that everyone else has been going on about. When i wrote my post it was in reply to the people drinking all that crap.
Cheers
Nath

Unfortunately, we don't get some of the beers that they are talking about. My favourite lager is called Gammel Carlsberg and it tastes like Mackeson!
