What did Alex do besides the goal? He had 2,3 nice passes, but the rest.
This Italian side has 3 fundamental players, Del Piero is not one of them: Toldo, Nesta and Fiore. They make the difference.
I often said that I'd like to see Del Piero play with Totti, but if I had to chose 1 I'd pick Totti as he is much faster and passes the ball better.

Did you actually see Del Piero before that injury? He played like a god, had defenders all shook up like Elvis - in brief, he played 2 classes better than the player we saw this night.

Are you crazy !!!!Id rather choose del piero over Totti .He has better dribbling skills than Totti ,he assists on most goals than totti and when he does the freekick ,its always dangerous and hes is always unlucky cause it always hits the bar or it goes slightly over the bar .It looks like he is the old del piero .Totti is ok ,but Del Piero is a more complete player .Youre right by saying that Fiore and Toldo contributed a lot in all italy's victory ,but you are forgetting that he hasnt played much ,but when he does come on the pitch ,defenders dont know what to expect in del piero and so far he has been amazing .
