Can you created teams and players like in FIFA 2002?

Da Twig Man

What teams are in it? (only the world cup teams, or other teams, like Australia?)

Will your next game suck? Nevermind, I can answer that myself. Yes, yes it will.

I've noticed that the PC team never ever makes substituions unless they have an injury. I was wondering if this will be addressed in WC2002??

Thanx!.

If there are teams that did not qualify, will they have correct rosters? or will it be numbers with the lowest possible stats again(Iranian National team).......?

Is there going to be improvements on the team management? Like the team management in ISS, where you can change the position of the players, (move them anywhere in their zone position) other than just have a pre-set formation. Can you change the roll of a player? Example: If a player is in a RF position, can you change him to play as a RS instead?

I don't believe EA representatives will read any of your questions.

How many versions in the past how we made suggestions/made up questions for EA and they still don't do what we request them to do.

Lets be realistic and don't waste our time coming up w/ the same questions over and over. If EA really wants to make major improvements, they will do it, but when competition gets tougher.:o

Well we at Soccer Gaming are compiling a list of questions to be sent to EA Sports (seeing that we have great contact with them), so they will be answered.

Also can you please make your signature image the specified size of 250x70.

If SG have such great contact with EA how come EA never listen to anything that we post here about ways to improve their games, a team of monkeys could make a better soccer game than EA ,

My question is, Is World Cup 2002 just Fifa 2002 with differnet squads menu bars ect. is the game play and stratergy the same and does it have the same amount of bugs as Fifa ?

Another question

" how are you going to win back the many Fifa fans who you lost with the release of Fifa 2002 ? ... this could be the final straw for many."

Another question

Has work begun on Fifa 2003 yet if not read our Wishlist forums for a change . if works has begun read them aswell.

Great contact? We email them once, and they respond to us about a month later. I don't consider that great contact at all.

It took Lior and Jakob about a month and a half after FIFA 2002 was released for them to get their copies.

My prediction: World Cup 2002 is the same game as FIFA 2002 with added features for World Cup atmosphere. That's it. Nothing new in the gameplay area - nothing breathtaking anyway.

i think this game is going to suck as usual...EA's selling point for this game is that its a world cup year...therefore its going to be the same as Fifa 2002...maybe with all the bugs fixed and rosters updated....and their big surprise is going to be lots of cinematics at the beginning of each game and more goal celebrations...just to get us into the World Cup mood

hey EA!!!...i would like to have the option to make my own formations and put my players where i want them...cause you never know one of those days i might feel to play like Liverpool and play a 3-6-1 lol

thanks for telling us how it really is Joe, Ea's Soccer team is a bunch of Amateurs and i appreciate the fact you told us plain and simply that EA like it or not Dont listen to there consumers (a flaw that can be fatal in most businesses)

Though we won't get a response from EA Sports for a long while, i do appreciate the fact that they will give us the opportunity to ask questions.:crazyboy:

These questions are mainly for the PS2 or any platform games that don't have the ability to get edited!

Will WC 2002 be a carbon copy of FIFA 2002 but with the World Cup theme minus all the nations that didn't qualify?

Will the gameplay be improved upon or will it stay the same? i.e. the pinball like style of soccer the computer plays, better movement off the ball.

Will the ball physcis be improved on? i.e. the helium ballon effect the ball has when lobs are executed.

Even though weather effects are included, will they actually play any factor on player performance and ball physics throughout a match or will it continue to be just a visual?

Will International Selection finally be included in WC 2002 or will we be limited again by what EA Sports feel are the players that should be available for international play?

Those are just a few questions for now. Thanks again to EA for atleast giving us the opportunity to write them questions. Hopefully they actually answer them soon and not a few weeks before the game comes out!:crazyboy:

Will there be a practice mode?

Will indoor matches be included in WC 2002?

Will any teams from Argentina or Mexico be included?

That's it for now.
BTW when will these questions be sent to EA Sports... just wondering so we could have some idea how long it is taking EA to respond.:crazyboy:

Now I heard that the Dutch are not in because of some roster stuff... Will the FWC2002 sales go much higher if the top 10 teams in the world are not in?

THe QUESTION I want to ask EA is:

what everyone wants to ask basically.
1) The Training/ Practice mode- Is this going to come back just like what EA did for EURO 2000-this games great...??

2) Are all the top teams in the world included like EURO 2000-ll of Europe's team inside ..the minnows too.

3) What is the gameplay like now? Are all the skill moves like the unrealistic Scorpion kick going to be in?-Well, we only have seen Higuita did it right?

4) What's the music? Vangelis? Anastasia?

Is the free kicking system going to be different at all?

You should be able to do stuff like this as an example:

The red dots are your team and the blue are the opposition, the blue dot with the green around it is the GK.

My Suggestions are :

-Improved gameplay and ball physics
-Better AI that fouls more
-Accurate Player Ratings
-Training
-More Stadiums

About all for now!

yes I would have to aggree!

The game could also do with some more Team management options and better free kick system, like I said before. If you do upgrade all this stuff, then the game will be one of the best soccer games of all time!

Will you be able to find out which AI player has the ball? In past versions whenever an AI player had possession, their name or number would show up under the player. This is not the case with 2002.

Do you work with the people that make the other EASports games? Why does this game have so few things compared to the others. Why have the team management and statistic categories not been improved in six years? Some other categories would be good. Team management hasn't changed since the first game for ps1. Options such as different formations, individual marking, offside trap... would make this game 1000% better.

Thanks.

How many stadiums are there, i hope more than 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Are their stadiums from all over the world?

Is there a Qualification mode like RTWC 98?

Are the crowds better, and how?

I hope to a higher power, that the sidelines are improved dramatically, not some pussy bench where not even the whole team is there. Are they like real life and not dodgy players stretching repeatedly. Are they improved?

Are the referee kits more detailed, and not just a plain jersey with a teeny tiny badge, I've seen it for too long?

Are the Referees likely to pull out tonnes more cards and penalties?

OK...
1. If the game sux, r u gonna allow us to download the full version from the official site? ;)
2. Practice mode?
3. Indoor mode like in WC98?
4. Goalies with #1 instead of #3?
5. Free kicks just like in FIFA99 or 98?
6. Better commentary with bigger/better expression?
7. Big step from FIFA 2002?
8. Put more effort; like in NBA Live, NHL, and Madden series?
9. 'Probably not' applies to all of these questions

dont disappoint us this time... maybe u should release FIFA 2003 in May 2005, so that u have enough time to make it look good?

Overall I think the fifa series is the best but as to be expected there are always imporvements to be made.

Game play:

I like the new passing and shooting model but it was a bad time to discontinue the practice mode when it is needed now more than ever with a completley new gameplay model.

The defenders, especially on the wings mark very poorley and seem to react awfully late when the cpu make a run down the wing.

When there is a 50/50 ball near one of the touch lines my players unrealisticly do not have the control to stop the ball before it goes out unless your happen to clear it back the opposite way.

At least for me, the computer rarely slide takles leaving me with few chances for free kicks.

The goalkeepers are decent but I don't understand the occasional rediculous slow shots that go right through their hands. Bobbles should not always be easily picked up...the opposing foward should have a chance to shoot at the ball.

It is pretty unrealistic when a player can head in a rocket shot from the top of the box.

Stats and Ratings

I would like to see higher numbers in the rating system. The current system does not offer enough parity. Example...Micheal Owen has remarkable accuracy and shots the ball with decent power and is a great finisher but his power does not match that of Steven Gerrard. They should both have a 6 or 7.

I would like to see more indepth goalkeeper ratings like catching ability, ability to handle crosses, punting power, and throwing strength.

My long time pet peeve is when a player with inferior ratings beats someone with a much higher rating for a header. I can see if the one player already is in a better position but not when they are shoulder to shoulder waiting for the ball to come down. Example: a defender with the strenght of 6 and a heading skill of 7 gets beat by someone with the strength of 3 and the heading skill of 4. Or a weaker player bumbing a stronger player off the ball...especially when it take so long to recover from a bumb when the opposing foward is on a breakaway...reaction time would realisticly be quicker.

I would like to see a more in depth stats system (like ea nhl): I'd like to see assists, matches played perhaps, goalkeeper wins and losses and maybe shut outs and goals against average. Team stats like passing percentage etc.

Teams:

My players in 2002 barely hit the upper 80's in fatigue even though I'm usually chasing and lossing in possesion. And I have to put the referee on the strictest level just to get a card. Obiously the formation bug sucks.

I'd like to see an overall system of fatigue so I'd have to rest players and use my full squade. Not to mention I haven't had one injury in 6 seasons. (goalkeepers should get injured also)
In a franchise mode or something teams should have training ground injuries and levels of injuries...ie...players may not be 100% but they can play as opposed to players with severe injuries who can't play.

I'd like to be able to select the goalkeeper jerzeys. And for the fun of it maybe pants or certain kinds of gloves depending on the weather.

A mode where maybe at the end of the season you have to sign players or let them go according the financial situation and the ablility to gain more money by winning the league, qualifying for the championsleague or losing money for getting relegated.

Leagues and Tournaments

I'd like to be able to play with multiple teams in a season mode. If I'm constantly winning I'd like to beable to control a second team so I have someone to contend with.

Player selection for National teams rather than having to change current players which affects other teams.

Atleast for larger leagues, 2nd tear divisions would be great.

Indoor mode was fun. Perhaps a footsal and american style (with dasherboards) mode selection. Maybe even actual leagues (misl)

Stadiums:

In some stadiums the fans should be closer to the field. And whats with the high school benches....they should have the covered alcoves.

The fields are better as far as size goes...finally the goalkeeper's punts are realistic. Something should be incorperated for homefield atvantage: certain chants (should be able to import them), which goal to defend choice, boos for goals against and fouls and the such, not cheers for every goal. Maybe the crowd wears your colours.

Is that long enough for ya.....sh**

the line man need to update he is very bad!!!!!!

ok here are my questions
how will the gameplay be compared to fifa 2002>? what will be new? any more 45 yard shots? i wouldnt mind those if the gameplay was like iss...
i also want to know all details about gameplay because i have pes(psx) so if the gameplay is like fifa 2002 then there is nothing for me to see there
all the new animation look cool but whats it good for if the gmaeplay will be like fifa2002? it could be an extra besides good play but oh well
finally all of what i said doesnt really matter cause im gonna download the game and if it sucks then ea can go **** themselves forever cause fifa 2002 was the crappiest game i played in 2001

Never mind about asking the questions.
TELL the EASPORTS' developer to cooperate together
with KCET developer how to create the best soccer game.

EA should focus on more graphics and the license (get all
official players' names)
and of course, let the KCET do the gameplay.

And, the product is Hopla....
