Poor Inter ,they just lost 4-0 to Fiorentina .It proves that Vieri is the best player in the world and that he carries a team .If you all know when Inter were on their biggest winning streak of the season ,Vieri was also on a streak scoring many goals ,but since he's injured ,Inter has lost more than 10 games without Vieri and only 2 wins,How sad is that.

Your talking about 2 different things,Davids,Zidane and Figo are midfielders and Vieri is a forward,do not mix them up ,Strikers have different roles than strikers .

You want a guy whose better than Vieri? You want someone who really DESERVES to be player of the year? Like hell its got to be Batistuta if no one else. Even though the rest of the Viola team is mostly crap (with the exceptions of Rui and Toldo) he is still the best striker around undoubtedly (or at least he must be up there if he isn't the best). He scored 20 goals this season (one more game...who knows he might score a hattrick http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif) and if you take away the penalties that Sheva and Crespo has scored...well...you do the math...you'll see who Serie A's topscorer is! So don't be bitching around about how Inter is missing Vieri when its that stupid coach of yours you keeps benching Robby Baggio when he most certainly deserves to be playing (and scores almost every time on the few occasions that he does play). I mean Inter has guys like Recoba (a truly class player...or soon to be anyway) and Seedorf (he's Dutch....what more do you want?). I know that the injuries to Vieri and Ronaldo will have played a big part in Inter not having a serious title challenge but to say that the team revolves around one man (Vieri) is total crap. Battistuta is good ,but if vieri would be healthy ,he would have more than 20 goals and you know its true ,he has 13 goals,but if he played 34 games,ill bet you he would score 20+ goals for sure with no questions.

That does not prove that Vieri is "the best player in the world" (which he isn't), but it rather proves THAT MONEY AIN'T EVERYTHING!!!

Yes he is the best player ,name me another player better than him,Ronaldo-his career is ruined ,Salas-Overrated ,Recoba-he's a god only when Vieri is on ,Totti-he's good but not better than Vieri .The only player who is good as him is Shevchenko .Vieri has 13 goals in 21 games in serie A and he's been injured very often .When Inter were on a winning streak,Vieri was averaging one goal per game,when he got injured ,suddenly the team loses every match .
