ok, I have this problem and I am sure its with my sound card.

Everytime I have more than 1 window open and I am playing mp3's, my comp will crash after a while, and I know it can handle more than 1 window open.

so my q is, is the drivers you originally get with the s/c, are they good or do you have to download propper ones so my comp won't crash?

Normally the drivers attached with your device are good and so would normally work well.

If you download drivers from the manufacturers website those are good too normally and do normally just improve performance but in rare occasions they dont and then mess up your PC. so keep an original disk handy

try upgrading your drivers for ur card .......
