well if we are to win the league we need a few things to go our way firstly we need to win 7 out of our last nine games with 2 draws. Secondly we need to beat Man United, Chelsea and Newcastle on the run home. We need Man u and Arsenal to draw 2 home games each. an draw against each other. we have nine games left most teams have ten still four teams can win it this has been the best premiership in a very long time.

This Summer liverpool need to sign another Defender, someone who can play CD and RB to cover for wright , carragher and provide back up . and an attacking midfielder .... someone like trevor sinclair would be perfect....
and maybe another quality stirker but that all depends on the anelka deal....

We've already played United twice, but you're right about our run in however I think we have to try and win all of them. It'll still be very tough for us to win the league - if we lose to Newcastle on Wednesday it's over, and Arsenal and United are on fire. In the end even if we don't win the league and finish 4th I think it will be one hell of an accomplishment considering we haven't had our manager for almost the entire season - to be this far away from the top and in the second stage of the CL with our assistant manager doing everything is amazing. Well done Thommo, Jaques and Sammy!

I just think all you need is width, someone who can run at the channels and provide a good cross for your front two, and another attacking midfielder. Liverpool already have a good defence and a wonderful goalkeeper, so it won't be long until they ge back to old Liverpool.

i thought we'd played united twice as well but when i checked our run home on Soccernet it said we have a game against them on April 1 .... so i htought i mis calculated.... but definately two 3-1 at anfield when Riise scored a cracker of a free kick and 1-0 at OT when Murphy curled it over Barthez scoring the winner for the second year in a row at OT

I've just been looking at the schedule again and I see one BIG problem;

most of our remaining matches are at home!

Never thought I'd think that'd be a problem for Liverpool but there seem to be too many moaners, groaners and sh!theads who boo us at home at the first sign of trouble so it's no wonder that our record away from home is much better than at Anfield. I said this before and I'll say it again, if our home support was as good as our traveling support we'd be invincible. Could you imagine, against Everton when it was 1-1 with 2-3 mins remaining - you could feel the groans in the stadium, the people leaving etc. Could you imagine if they all just started singing YNWA? Could you imagine what that would do to pump up the players, to inspire them? I remember Kevin Keegan talking about how when (I can't remember the season) when Liverpool were close to winning the league and the KOP started sinning YNWA he was running around (as he did a lot lol) and he realized he had tears in his eyes.

We sing this brilliant song, but in recent times we've forgotten what it means - we've forgotten the lyrics, it's not just a song for when we're winning.

So here it is, most of our remaining games are at home, and while the odds are against us we can theoretically win the league how will our fans react? Will they get behind the team and will us on to victory? Will the kop SUCK the ball into the goal as they did in the late 70s and early 80s? Or will they f ucking moan when Jamie Carragher makes one mistake and then somehow think booing the man will instantly turn him into Roberto Carlos?

If anyone here is going to any of our remaining matches I just have one request; SING UP YER BASTARDS! - regardless of the score.

it is alarming that how many points that we have drop at home this season... and it is going to be tough which in turn show the characters of the team if they can pull this off...
