First off has anyone else noticed the team work attribute given to players changing? I bought some players to strengthen my team (Baggio, Gregs, Filape, Thuram, Alayo (Paraguayan) and Nesta) all of which had high team-work ratings (70+) after I got them this went down to the mid 30s, and slowly went back up.

Do any of you know any other attributes that do this? Is it just me or does this effect your teams play more than most other things? It appeared to me that when the players started off they found it difficult to position themselves and pass effectively but this increased over time as this attribute rating increased.

Secondly, in a previous thread someone mentioned something about the colour of the dots on the pitch map in the team settings page. I had previously thought that the dots were brighter if the player was originally in the team but darker if they were acqusitions. When this was mentioned in the other thread someone said that it was related to how well the player fitted into the slot you'd placed them. All of the players I had bought were in this darker shade until I put Nesta in and he was not. Does anyone know exactly what this brighter/darker thing means. If it is that the player fits best into such and such a position, could someone give a guide or some tips on how to make sure that a player plays best in the position you intend them for before you buy them?

I think you more or less answered that question yourself.... :)
A team need automatisms and when a new player arrives, he doesn't have them, so he will be a lot out of his position.
When he played more and more matches he get the hang of the tactical system from his new team....

I meant more so on the last question regarding the shading of the dots on your team settings map. What does it mean? and if it means that a player is not suited to the position you put them in how do you make sure that your new star striker is happy playing pushed forward on the right side of the 6 yard box? or your new CB is happy on the right side of the central defense? In other words, how do you know where they want to play?

In my opinion it only tells you how many changes you have made compared with the default formation, nothing else...
