I'm sorry but Alan Shearer and Paul Scholes are the only two players that I would consider world class.

David Beckham is great, and Michael Owen will be England's captain in a few years.

But Scholes is raw talent...and Shearer is the Captain. 30 goals in 60-odd games. The man is on the top five England strikers of all time.

I think Gerrard will be captain soon!

I havent spotted any player with world class potential in the English team. Good thing for them Germany was even worse, so they managed to win one game. But I think even Andorra would have beaten Germany.
