Well I can't wait to see Man City in the EPL next season, they are like the Arsenal of the first division, but I do think Berkovic is a very good playmaker. He can be irratating at times though.

Man CITY bigger than Celtic? Surely he means United! Yeah, it would be good to see City back in the Premiership - we could use the 6 points:D

If he really believes that rubbish he should stick his head up his backside and blow his nose until the pressure equalises!

Watch out City fans cos he'll be hankering after a move shortly!!!

Man City, 2 league titles(and hold the unwanted distinction of being the only champions to end up relegated the following season) , 1 cup winners cup, 2 league cups, about 4 fa cups, and countless relegations.

Celtic, 30+ league titles, 40+ scottish cups, lost count of the scottish league cups, and not to mention 2 European Cup finals, winning it in 1967, and being about the only side other than Ajax to have won a quadruple, and never suffered relegation.
Up until recently the quality of the SPL was pretty good.

The bare facts simply speak for themselves about which team is bigger than the other, I rest my case.

first of all, you can't compare between Celtic & Manchester City
since they come from VERY different leagues.

I personally think City is a bigger team then Celtic.

as for Eyal Berkovic, the reason he didn't made it in Celtic
was the new manager... and Berkovic's big mouth.
Rangers were about 12 points over Celtic, and Eyal said:
"I don't think we can take the title this year"
and all the fans hated him since then.
I don't see anything wrong in what he said, since that was the thruth
but sometimes you gotta learn how to shut your mouth
and Eyal didn't (and maybe still doesn't) know how.

I remember Berkovic back when he played for Maccabi Haifa,
and since then and untill now, nobody can say he's a bad player,
I personally think he's a GENIOUS, he can see things on the pitch
like no one does, just put 2 top class strikers in front of him and see.

City coach is a great personality and a great coach,
I've liked him back then when he was in Newcastle,
and hew knows the mind of Berkovic, he also knows football,
so the result? Berkovic and Benarbia (pure class)
are one of the most creatives midfielders due I've ever seen.

even if you hate City, you can't dennt it's superb football
and the amzing amout of goals they score.

Berkovic is a good player, but man City aren't bigger than Celtic, Celtic have won far more than City, and most (unlike Rangers) of their tropies were won before 1986/87 when the Old Firm were in a too strong a financial position to be overtaken.

Haven't seen u around for a while.

The True, Are you Eyal's agent? Man City are nowhere near as big a club as Celtic! Celtic are more than a football club, they are an institution. Also, the reasons he didn't make it at Celtic are he's an individual not a team player. He won't tackle. He ducks out of being tackled himself. As you say he's got a big mouth! He didn't want to have to fight for a first team place. His ego is such that he thinks he should walk into any team!

basically he was sh*te :D

and did he not gesture the Celtic fans after a goal against Kilmarnock or something?

Moravcik is much better than him;)

Jackie, I wish I was his agent... big bucks there...:D

I just think he's a brilliant player with a problematic personality
but there was an interview with him yesterday here,
and he said that in City he feels like home,
which is the most important thing for him,
he like the fans the manger, and that's why you see
his good shape.

anyway, as I've said, you can't compare between those clubs.
can you compare between winning the championship
in Scotland to the EPL??

Gonna be 0 this year

But City aren't bigger than Celtic....i mean Celtic may have the most fans, not glory supporters who like Real now and Man Utd last year, in the world.

Punkt
16-10-2003, 07:27:AM
in terms of fans and glory celtic is much bigger but don't forget that man city play in a much harder league. i think that man city if play in the SPL would fight for the title.

anything with man city i have to post somethin negative.... man city got 4 points off us because our defence was .....:$ ..... but man city is not bigger than celtic.... unless berko was referring to the depth... but look at the success achieved by celtic this and last season.... they made it to the UEFA Cup Final, and got beaten by Bayern unluckily, beat Elber-inspired Lyon and went through 2 qualifying rounds....

rhizome17
16-10-2003, 09:18:AM
No, Man City got 4 points off you because the goat was on fire. ANd if there is one game city can be guaranteed to get up for, it is against United.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 draws this season. At least we have more strikers than you :p

Fernandez
16-10-2003, 09:21:AM
but we have strikers-turned-wingers, we have players that can make and create goals..... and our players arent rejects that play well for kev.... but lets not go off-topic...

celtic is a huge club with a huge following. in that regards, no way is city a bigger club. but...city's starting to do some things. they're starting to build a strong team. and they have a nice new stadium too...

city's squad's actually not bad.. their central defense needs some work..

City have Anelka and Seaman enough Said:crazyboy:

Seriously though City are Heading in the Right Direction with players like Anelka playing for them in a couple of years i could see them pushing for the title

rhizome17
16-10-2003, 03:44:PM
I think City have a good blend of youth and experience at the moment, I would like to see one of the other keepers given a run though, since Schmeichel kept them out last season and Seaman has had a few bad games now...

yim87
16-10-2003, 05:50:PM
the only department i see city's weak in is in the central defense.. michael tarnat and sun jihai are doing a decent job at their full backs places.. their midfield is somewhat congested with even claudio reyna having to start on the bench.. their strikers goes without saying, they have wanchope and anelka, and fowler hasn't fully recovered from his injury yet...
