Ive just heard that Liverpool are leaving anfield to move to a new 70,000 all seater stadium. I for one will be sad about it but its only round the corner and will hopefully have the same atmospheare as Anfield which is the best in the Premiership!

Before you rumour doubters start moaning. My mate Ste is telling the truth because I saw the news on BBC Northwest Tonight.

It is true and very sad.

I do not support liverpool, but Anfield was the best stadium (for atmosphere) in the Premier League.

They shouldn't leave. They have won 18 championships there, mabey its a luck stadium.

When they had the 'Kop' it was like having an extra player.

It was always the best playing surface in the whole UK (much better than Man Utds).

Can't they just lower the pitch by 50-100 meters and add more seated in the new space created.

When anfiel is demolished a ture shrine of English football will die / fade-away

I read something that Everton fans are complaining about Liverpool wanting to develop a new stadium, cos they wanted to build a new stadium before, and the council wouldn't let them!

Anfield cannot be developed any more because the residents who live in the houses all around the ground object to most expansion plans because houses would have to be demolished. They must support Everton or something!
