Yeah, its a Dell :)

I'm pretty sure its Intel. I found it on a crappy outlet option on the site, and now i can't find this one again >.<

Well i think Dell is one of the best retail brands it think, but i would rather advise you to buy your pc piece per piece in a little computer reseller, because when you buy a brand pc, it's cool because you have the garantee and all and it's easy to install, you can have big reductions...

But there are lot of incovenients :
-Even with the discounts, it's usually more expensive than if you buy piece per piece
-You never know what's exactly in the pc (they don't tell you exactly what geforce 3 is, they put a poor quality motherboard , harddisks or cd drives in it,...)
-Sometimes it's very difficult to upgrade your pc (sometimes there are fewer slots on your motherboard than usually, i even got a friend who got his video card solded to the agp slot (Hewlett Packard), sometimes it takes ages to repair your pc with the garantee or having help of the helpdesk (a friend had these problems with his Dell).

I would also advise you not to buy Intel, but rather buy AMD, because AMD is a lot cheaper with even better performances than Intel.

I just made a list of what i would buy now if i had the money, the price are from my usual pc reseller :

-Rimm 256 MB (Samsung Original) *124,00 €*
-AMD XP 1700+ *182,50€*
-Mb Msi 6380 K7T 266 (FSB 200/266) DDR Pro2 *157,00 €*
-HD Maxtor 40 Go ATA133 (7200 rpm) *123,50€*
-DVD Pioneer 16x40 Slot-In/Tray *93,00€*
-CD-RW Plextor Burnproof (24x10x40) *164,50€*
-Elsa GeForce III T3 Gladiac 920 + Tv Out *247,50 €*
-Hercules Fortissimo II *43,00€*
-AOC 17" Vlr (3 years warranty on site) *189,00 €*
-Miditower - AOPEN HQ45 - 250 Watts *76,00*
-Fan 8x8 *12,00€*
-Microsoft Wheel Optical PS2/USB *30,00 €*
-Safeway Keyboard PS2 Internet *12,50 €*
-Hercules Subwoofer XPS 210 *62,50 €*

Which makes a total of 1417,00 € => 873,53 £

And with that config, i would be sure i have excellent quality for a cheap price :)

I have a friend whos dad gets odds and bobs from where he works for free or a tiny amount of its true value. He said that he could probably get me whatever I wanted for half the price from a brand, but then I wouldn't have any garantees.

Cheers for all your help :)
