I can see this post heading towards disaster. Don't even get me started, but one thing I want to say is that Robert Mgabe is complete nutter! Larry 09-03-2002, 10:48:PM tony blair is cool, and i dont mind george bush. He shud change his last name tho maddog1983 09-03-2002, 10:49:PM i dont agree with what is going on in Zimbabwe but my limited knowledge ofthe situation means i wont say to much more... i am also disillusioned with the Australian government they just keep doing stupid things like not sack hollingworth even though there is evidence against him ... and refugees crisis ect.. but the worst thing is Simon crean is a complete dick!! i would never vote for him emmer 09-03-2002, 10:57:PM i must say i think george w bush is one of the worst presidents usa ever had. the same to his father. both can't govern well, but they got much popularity because of wars!!! Gareth 09-03-2002, 11:13:PM Originally posted by maddog1983 i dont agree with what is going on in Zimbabwe but my limited knowledge ofthe situation means i wont say to much more... i am also disillusioned with the Australian government they just keep doing stupid things like not sack hollingworth even though there is evidence against him ... and refugees crisis ect.. but the worst thing is Simon crean is a complete dick!! i would never vote for him I'll agree with the Simon Crean part, he is a loser, if he got into power the Unions would go berserk, seeing Crean used to be the Union boss. Anarchy it would be. Anyway with that Hollingworth issue, the Government has no legal grounds to sack him, moral ground yes, but legal ones no. Hollingworth didn't actually commit a crime believe it or not, maybe he could be pursecuted for diverting the course of justice, but thats about it. What he did was that he never informed the authorities of sexual allegations brought to him about other priests. So he's getting bombarded for something he didn't do, not what he did. I think he should stand down on the grounds that with a position such as he has it should be on moral negligence. Those are just my thoughts on the matter. maddog1983 10-03-2002, 01:01:AM yeah i agree gareth i think he should stand down based on the fact that no body can look at him the same way anymore and nobody can trust him i guess time will heal all wounds .. . |
