Just read at http://www.konamistyle.com

KCEO will release Live World Soccer 2002 for the PC on May 2.

This is the japanese version of ISS.

Will KCET follow?, hope so, then maybe we can edit stuff like the FIFA people.

let's hope so - PES at 1280*960  - PES on-line :D

Also, think of all the editing we could do...provided that they actually allow us access to the data

No analogue control, no big screen tv, no sitting round with a load mates on the couch drinking beers eating pizza and laughing at their inadequate skills, no multitaps.

USB controllers are as good as having multitap surely?Plus there are plenty that support analog on the pc now, hell you can even use a psx pad if you buy an adapter. The editing possabilities and online play would surely make up for any other downfalls, unless the gameplays lacking that is.

Depends what kind of game your talking about. True some games are better suited to the console than PC, but then the PC is better at FPS and stratagy games than consoles. The PC can cope with PES style games if you have the right equipment. My introduction to the iss games was on PC through one of the emulators and my PSX owning mate prefered playing it on my PC with its sharper graphic than on his PSX. Suppose its personal opinion though.

So true, multi-player with your friends right there is the best part about PES IMO.

EDIT: That's not to say the PC version is useless, there is much greater potential for upgrades/alterations etc. And if you're a high resolution ***** then it's heaven.

Ok, use any translator, GOOGLE, ALtavista, whatever.
Go to www.konamistyle.com
Once there on the left hand side there is a menu, click on "Game Day Sale Calendar" In there, the first item is "Live World Soccer 2002", and that's it.

Oh it says "Also LAN opposition is possible"

Hope this gets KCET to follow. I agree about having your friends over drinking beer, eating pizza and using the multitap, but if a KCET game comes out for the PC, that can be played trough internet, and people start making all those nice editors like the ones they made for FIFA, face editor, kit editor, stadium editor, balls, cleats, etc.

On a kickass video card!! High resolution!!

This in my opinion will have many FIFA fans converting to WE, could this be the final nail on FIFA's coffin?

When this happens, make sure you "short" EA stock, m'kayyy

would be like a dream came true...

as for the multi-player thing...there are so many counter-strike cafes (internet cafes) where lots of people play against each other on LAN paying some 50 cents per hour.
a friend of mine owns such a CS store and we go there almost every weekend at night when the store has officially closed and play for free as long as we like. and we can eat pizza there, smoke chronic and just enjoy playing some CS.
where's the problem playing PES pc version there all together?
i doubt there is one.

Wow so whats that all about then... Do they mean an ISS/WE/PES game on the PC or is it Microsofts own soccer game??

I think it may be a Microsoft game... The reason is that Konami sold the rights of ISS to Microsoft (you can see what I mean by clicking here (http://www.microsoft.com/PressPass/press/1999/May99/KonamiPR.asp)) But for some reason Bill Gates has decided not to use them. In fact Microsoft had their own soccer game out a few years ago and I think Konami may be selling a new version of this. There must be some co-operation between the two companies...

There has been no press about this game so I'm really confused about this one!

What do you guys all think??

yeah, but do u think kcet is gonna release its games for pc too??
remember kcet only releases games for psx and ps2 while kceo does for gamecube,xbox,n64,pc and whatnot..it would be wonderful if kcet released pes for pc but i dont think that will happen, ill try this kceo game anyways,it must be a lot much better than fifa...
about the konami-microsoft agreement,i cant believe microsoft doesnt release iss for pc,the only konami game theyve released for pc was metal gear solid, which i own btw:D those guys are so dumb, they could release iss for pc,and not that microsoft international soccer thingie they made a couple of years ago, that game sucked, does anybody of u remember microsoft soccer?:D

LOL Yeah, but not everyone knows someone who owns a CS store! :) I didn't even realize they existed let alone know someone who owns one! But everyone has an apartment or a house.

Anyway, this is good news however we have to remember it's still not a KCET announcement so really it's a small step but it's not a big deal until Seabass and Co. bring their stuff to the PC.
