The offside logic in FIFA2k is terrible. Players that are caught offside are 99% of the time not interfering with play. I even get caught offside passing the ball in my own half. When the player is really offside the refree does not judge it to be offside. EA should release a patch to correct this problem and other gameplay problems.

Yeah, I've already complained about that too. I's a pain in the neck because it cuts the game playbility.

Besides that, sometimes I suffered ridiculous goals, because the computer team makes a pass and all of the sudden there's a computer player alone with the ball running to my goal.

I was mad when I checked the replay and realised that the computer player was some 3 meters beyond my defense line, but the referee didn't stop the game!!!!! He was completely offside and the man didn't blow a wissle to stop the game!

Does this also happen to you guys?

Yeah this happens to me. The thing that also anoys me is that I'lll be playing the game with a friend and when they call offside it is on yourself. And I just think WHAT I have not pressed a button or anything its just suddenly an offside on me instead of on the other player. Now this is freeky.

yeah i think ea sports always had problems with offsides in their FIFA series

Everyone moans about FIFA being unrealistic but the offsides are realistic! How many times in a match does the linesman give a bad decision? loads of times, its part of the game

That's true, but I don't think the referee getting the offsides wrong is intentially realistic. Maybe EA should introduce different refs from around the world with their own AI about giving bookings and offsides. It would great if it had real life referees like strict David Ellery and that bald italian guy who did world cup 94 final.

Yeah DaSerf2000, that would be the best, and it would turn any football game much more realistic.
About the linesmen... why are we talking about them if they simply don't exist in fifa2k?
I think that introduce some errors from the referee in the game, real life referees and linesmen, would be great.
But give us the option of having a good work from them, not unrealistic offsides!
