I think yes ! We have seen a lot of progress between fifa2002 and fifa RTWVC2002 . I t seems that fifia2002 was just only a beta version of this game but the new game will include only WC teams !

So the question is : will EA make a great update for next year, and take out another option ? ( maybe gameplay or stadiums or weather ) . And take our money like idiots !

I would think it would be a step down!


This is simple...TEAMS!

Pro Evolution Soccer and games that don't share as many teams and licenses as FIFA, usually benefit from gameplay. ;)

EA concentrate on the other things, other then gameplay.

This year EA only have 35 something teams to work with, so we get the wall jumping, we get individual talents, we get the stadium atmosphere and all the 20 stadiums of the World Cup, we get the player faces, the best player faces EVER on a football game, the players looks 100% like them! We get the new player to player animations and the air play', it's all in there, some of it IS revolutionary, but I bet ya, it'll al be gone in FIFA 2003, cause EA can't handle it. 100 more international teams and 500 + club teams, COME ON! They can't possible do individual talents and faces for most of them players, they'll never look as good as WC 2002! :mad:

They'll probably do what we do and simply take the faces of WC 2002 and import them into FIFA 2003 and I say thumbs up to that cause those faces are 100% perfect!! :D

But I don't know about the other stuff, hopefully we'll get improved shooting. :D

Oh and EA over at the World Cup website say the demo will be out soon. I wonder if it'll be different from the one most of us got?? :confused:

yeah just put in the epl, spanish and italian league. Maybe then a few other famous club not in these leagues. That'll be good enough

Well, WC98 was the best soccer game to date, but strangely FIFA 99 was the start of the downfall of the series.


Let's wait and see.

****! There are a couple of things that really annoy me!
One thing is that the new game ISNT RTWC! Its WC!
Its not about the Road To The World Cup, its about the actual World Cup! FIFA 2002 was RTWC! Plz stop saying this, it really pisses me off!
Also the reason there are **** all teams in WC2002 is because it is a WC game, not a Premier League game, or anything else for that matter.
Anyone who has been in the FIFA community for a while will know there will be a FIFA 2003, they released two games in 98, but there was still a 99, and it wont be another step down because It WILL BE A FIFA, not a World Cup game.
So it will have lots of FIFA teams, not just WC teams.
OK so from now on plz dont say RTWC, as the new game is simply WC, and also dont say that it is a step down because it only has 41 teams, or whatever it has, because this is because it is a WC game, not just a soccer game!
Now Ive got that off my chest...

Yep, I can now see that FIFA 2003 might actually be an Okay game, bbut EA must NOT start to take out all the great things, and little things that count to realism, etc. In the demo can we see different coloured boots, different sleeves??? NO!! :mad:
