I have tried the gameplay patch 1.36b of Nick Clubman and find it really good, realistic. May I say that everybody looking for a more realistic gameplay can try this one on http://members.fortunecity.co.uk/nickclubman/index.html

I like it too! :rockman:
observations:
- the shoot is still a bit like 1.35 (about the wrong directions)
- CPU is giving a lot ultra-powerful shoots
- the gravity should be a bit "harder"

Yes... i downloaded to and i like a lot this patch.. i think that:

1-. I having problem to score goals... the shot correction is to down... then, with my digital joystick is to hard to get the exact position to score.

2-. Also.. i see a problem with atacking... some players run into the offside and never come back.. he waits around the goal keeper.... and i only can shot because they will be always on offside... (i hope that you understandme because my english isnt very well.... im talking about forwards that stand ups together rival's gk, and wait there... and they never moves)

Hi Clubman, if you can make the goalies stronger, it would be good enough. No need to make the shot more difficult. Also, more crosses from wings are preferred.

If u disable cpu runs in the settings menu it shld stop the players from running into an offside position without u sending them to.
Hope it helps

Yeah, this is what I have done in my latest BETA, it gives the game a much more realistic feel, as like you said, you control the runs, there for, if you miss time the run = off side! ;)

Thanks

Hello Nick.
As for me, I would like to keep the same way of shooting (it's really good) in your patch but the goalkeepers could be improved (they are sometimes too bad). I don't mind having difficulties to score, as long as it is the same for the computer! 1/0 or 2/1 when you play on 4mn half times on "professional" should be "usual" results.

Hi Clubman, can you make the goalie worse in handling CROSS BALL but stronger when defending shots around the box? I know it's a bit hard and I think you can make it...

also... if there are more headers... it would be good... coz in a real match, crossing from the wings is the major tactics ...

One of the real improvements of fifa WC2002 is the way players control the ball (it is less "glued" to the feet), move their body to make headers...If only it was possible to transport it to fifa 2002!

How do you mean worse at handling cross balls? I don't mean to sound ignorant for my question, but I would like it in more detail and any feedback is VERY appreciated.

I will try and do my best at creating a much more reliable goalkeeper, as I am aware that they don't handle shots outside the area very well, so I have decided to create a new shot type, which should give different speeds and advantages/disadvantages when attempting a shot.

I hope to make it possible to score further out with a good striker, but to also make the shooting rather difficult when taking close range shots.

This is something I am now capable of doing and wish to incorporate in v1.36. Hopefully it will show slightly in the next beta! :D

Thanks,

Nick Clubman

Clubman, "worse in handling cross " means the goalie makes more mistakes when facing the cross balls (such as letting the strikers to score with header under the goalie's challenge in the air)...

On the other hand, if you can make it easier to score inside the box while making the defenders tougher to beat... it would be good... (coz in reality, the defenders can destroy the attack keeping the strikers most of the time...)

I think only top class strikers can score more ...
