1. The patch fix did not work for me, but the patch works just by itself. In general, it has better gameplay, better graphics and sounds than fifa 2002. Thanks, soccer Access!

2. One curious thing, I noticed, is that in the ini.big I saw the beginner level(!). I don't know where it came from?:confused:

Did the fix make a diagnosis and said everything was installed correctly?

Sorry to jump in to this thread like this...but as long as yu're around...let me try this one on you for size.
I install the Socceraccess World Cup patch...and all works well for one installment (except for one thing, which I'll get to in a moment.). I save my game...and exit out of FIFA 2002. I come back to FIFA 2002, entering through the SA World Cup screen, and my saved game is gone...and the game is reading from my default FIFA 2002 files. I still get the choice of teams, the national anthem...everything else...but the rosters are not the ones from your patch...but from my default FIFA 2002. What do you think, do I need to rename user files?
Next problem...the created games title (I forget the exact name in the SA entrance screen...but it's the deal with "Death Group" and "Germans Never Give Up", etc.) does not become yellow, even though I can still select that button. The new situations become black when I do...I select the simulation I want, the game tells me it has installed the patch ("England patch has been installed," etc.) but then I can't find the game in the load and save screen as instructed. Obviously, something is not being read correctly by the patch, and I presume operator error, because everything else works like a charm...I really love playing the game this way.
The disable also gave me some trouble. It worked well for about three times, but then the World Cup patch continued to show up even when I had the patch disabled and entered through Sweetpatch or my default FIFA 2002 logo.
I hope I have given you enough information. I have installed, uninstalled, deleted, redownloaded, uninstalled FIFA 2002 and reinstalled about 10 times over the last two weeks...and finally gave up. I know there have been guys having a lot of trouble with this patch. I think it works for guys with out Windows XP, it's just that I think I'm doing something wrong. It's really a cool patch. I think it renders WC 2002 from EA completely useless, I just wish I could make it work absolutely correctly.

I don't remember what it said but when I clicked the fix button, nothing happened. I had to reinstalled fifa 2002 and the super patch twice( I tried the fix twice). The last time without the fix. But I am happy with SA w/o the fix.

I really am not sure to be honest with you. I have win 2000 profesional and it works great.
