its only possible in Windows XP

or like Amika said , if u have some program like Talisman ,Window blinds , DesktopX ,Style XP , Illumination etc etc.......but i would advise you not to download any of those Shell changing programs for the simple fact that they are all Unstable.

Stick to the way ur icons look now....and try to get Windows XP if u can.

Cheers

actually, there's a program called irfanview, you make your icon with paint or whatever, sav it as a a .gif (as far as i know they are the only files that the background can be transparent).

then do some stuff with irfanview and bobs your half uncle or something.

Hope this can help a bit.

Yea I admit that if u can get it running it is cool. It was great for me while I had it, the only problem was it ****ed up my drivers for my modem, scanner & printer whe it installed. So I was stuck with a cool, but completely functionless computer.
Therefore I have reverted back to Win98 for now. Untill there are updates to sort out this problem for me.

P.s . XP never crashed with a blue screen for me, but often locked up & froze. (prob coz my ****ty old thing couldnt cope with what it was doing).
