Don't know any of those players except for Larson who I personally don't think is all that great of a player...

I would like to know just how many perfect players(95 to 99 rating) you think there are in the world right now...
If you rate him as perfect player I think this means he belongs up there with Pele and Platini, an absurd statement.
If you're saying he's world class you mean he would be on the world eleven squad. I can think af about ten strikers, or attacking midfielders id have rather than Larsoon.
So I think he is national team class, about a 75 or 80.

If you watched Larsson week in week out you would realise he is more than just the worlds leading goalscorer. I would put him in my world eleven along side Bergkamp. Larsson carries the Swedish National team and you`ll see what a difference he makes when sweden crash out of euro 2000 due to his broken leg.

Yes I know Larsson is a very versatile player that is what puts him up there as top player that any team could use(I mean he can play offensive midfield/playmaker, as well as striker).
However if I was putting a world eleven I would put Rivaldo, Veron and Scholes ahead of him.
Too bad about his broken leg I hope some miracle happens and he will be back in time for Euro 2000.
Also what do you mean he's the worlds leading scorer? I think he scored 7 this season? Plus remember Paolo Negri? where is he now...

Viduka is a class player, he is only 22 years old, the way he holds the ball and takes defenders out of the game is magnificent and his skill on the ball for a guy his size is sublime. His finishing is lethal and as for burchill being a better player? what a load of crap he has the first touch of a baby elephant!!!

As for berkamp, he is so overated, how can someone so inconsistent be classed that highly I'll never know? With all the money he earns why doesnt he buy himself a 24-7 psychiatriat to help him get over his fear of flying!!! Shevchenko is in a class player no doubt about that, I just hope playing in Italy doesnt stifle his game as it has done to so many others e.g Ronaldo, etc.

I know what your talking about now. But this sort of thing can happen anywhere in the world. Negri`s problem is that he was a lazy Poutcher and he had a lucky season. I believe that Viduka will get scotland Golden boot this season but unfortunatley he too is a lazy Poutcher and he too will be forgotten. Larsson is different he is the complete Forward and goals are just a part of his game, he will live on and play his star role in Paradise once more.

Much as I hate to say it, but zzub is right.
Celts have some great players but are not performing as a team. If the Huns hadn't lost to Dundee our season would be really up **** Creek. Barnes is naive and sports a defeatist attitude that just doesn't wear at Parkhead. His comments before the Old Firm game "it's not the end of our season if we lose to Rangers" were enough for me to think he aint gonna cut it.
We need a replacement for Larsson and not some 35 year old only in for the season.
It's going to take Larsson some time to get his confidence back even after he's fit and I don't want another season playing second fiddle to the Huns.

Ok Im not trying to cause any trouble but I have a couple of questions. I havent seen any of Celtics games this year so I really dont have a clue. The question is about Kenny Dalglish, I was under the impression (via media reports etc) that Kenny had turned Newcastle from an exciting side to a boring one that didnt win much. Is this true and is he making Celtic play good football at present?

Kenny isn't really having anything to do with the style of play at Celtic as all that is being left up to Barnes, and that seems to be the problem. One thing though, Celtic will never play boring football. We have always had a very attacking style (just don't seem to be paying off at the moment)and hopefully that will never change.

Oh comon! Sure Larsson is good, but nowhere near some of those 95% and better ratings! I live in Sweden and I´ve followed him since he played in the Swedish League. Of course he dominates in leagues like the Swedish and Scottish! Did not see him perform much in Holland though...

He hasn´t been so good in the last internationals either (not even against Luxembourg!). Personally I think Yksel Osmanovski of Bari will fill the Larsson gap nicely in Euro 2000. Sweden has lots of offensive tallent...

The problem with signing players is that your team have already broken their piggy bank. The sale of Burley gives you 3M but as I recall McJohnson is rated at 4.5M? Not to mention he is on a probable next-season Premier team. Speaking from a non-biased point of view, it's your defense that needs work first, then the offense.

You may find this surprising but Henrick Larsson is still the leagues second top scorer no to bad eh. Imagine what a season he would have had.

Perhaps... it would be a change... But I doubt that Celtic or any other team for the islands - if we take Manchester United that is- is going to be "one of the greatest forces in the european football". I know that you folks aren't going to like to read this but make an effort...

On the last years Rangers had a great team, with great players- even today they have some very good players on the front- but they were always a joke on the european competitions... until the english teams start to know how to defend well- in continental standards- they aren't going to make anything in the european football... take a look at Manchester United... they don't use english - in a open sense- centrals on the defense.

I'm not saying that I don't like English football, any person with a little brain can see that it's much more attractive than that many times slow paced, let's defend and score on free kicks, serie A football that we see on TV- sure they have 8 strong teams but what about the others... most of them start the game thinking "let's not loose this one... a draw..." and with 5 defenders, one anchor man and two defensive midfielders... but even they are normally capable of winning against teams like Liverpool, Newcastle, leeds, celtic, Rangers and so on... they just need a mistake of the defenders... even with only one man on the front...
that's my view any way... always subjective of course......
