It seems that kit manufacturers and clubs are going for the oldschool/retro design for their kits. The Italy kits by Kappa or the Germany home kit by Adidas look like something from the 70's. They are just plain one-coloured kits usually with different coloured round-necked collars and cuffs. Personally I just think they look really dull and they have nothing special about them. Adidas kits used to be really good (like the ones from Euro 2000) and I was looking forward to seeing what kits players would wear for World Cup 2002, then I see all these plain one or two coloured shirts. One of the worst I have seen is France's kit (Not as retro as other shirts), It just simply sucks, just plain blue, a few stripes on the sleeves, and purple  under the arms.

What is everyone else's opinion on retro shirts?

Yeah Old School/Retro kits rule.

i love retro/oldschool kits also...
i prefer this kinda simple design than a lot of shadows, watermarks and details...
for an example i didnt like so much those kits brazil used in world cup 94, with the three badges on the shirt like a watermark or something.
