Bigger pitch
More creatively game-play
give a button for a "long ball through" pass
give some variation while dribbling
the goalkeeper is not superman
smarter defender
give some technique show, like "juggling dummies"

It must be a more manager game, a kind
of CM3/Fifa 2000 game.
And in the seasons the other teams must also can buy players not only you

I think they should make the dribbling a little bit more realistic by not making the ball stick to the feet entirely. Like the Kick-off series way back on Amiga the player should actually "push" or "kick" the ball to run with it. To compensate for this additional struggle the defenders of the opposing team might be less accurate with their tackles or the ball might seem to stick to the players feet for a while if his technique is above average... They should get rid off 'intelligent' passing, I mean you should be entirely in control of the pass by kicking it into whatever direction you want regardless of whether it reaches a 'highlighted' teammate or not (Much like the simulation mode in FIFA 96 or some earlier footy games - They have to adjust the camera to provide a better sight for where the players are positioned, though). Same applies for shooting, even at the expense of own goals: I want to shoot the ball into whichever direction I am facing, to the goal, to the bench, to the spectators, even into my own goal!!

In order of importance for me.

1. Slower speed option
2. More realistic scores
3. Better rosters for teams and a return to Fifa 99 management of teams.
4. Bigger pitches or pitches that reflect real life, small pitches as in Highbury and big pitches as in Wembley
5. Adjustable camera angles that can be saved to that postion
6. Better commentary
7. Wider range of values in player attributes so that good players are actually visibly better than poor players.
8. wing back run control
9. remove the lame goal celebrations and use This is Footballs feature that allows you to choose a celebration when a goal is scored.
10. Free beer

I belive f2k1 will be a road to the worldcup 2002.therefore i want the ability to select players to the national team and the list of choosable players for each team should be of about 300 like in fifa 98rtwc when you picked a team that also had a league like Italy,Brazil,England...Also i want the speed to be lowered it's still too fast.more goal scoring options and "long" range goals.also i want the ability to play in cups like asian cup ,copa America and Eurocup or at least the ability to create a cup and all the national teams even the piss poor no one has ever heard of $uck ass ones like Suriname...and an accurate or at least fair portrayal of players appearance...better commentating and they say the players name more often not just blurt it out ever now and then.these are all options that EA has given us before in previous games so know this is what i would like to see that is new to the game like shielding and blocking was for FIFA 2000...1. ULTRAVIOLNCE there is nothing wrong with a little blood here and there so i want the option to engage in fist-a-cuffs should the occasion arise like in nhl games and since the crowd now moves lets take them a step further and have them riot and throw things to the field like in real footy. 2. i want to see the frigging bench with subs and if im loosing or winning depending where im at it's going to get bombarded (rocks, seats,WATERBOTTLES) 3. A player can get injured and miss the worldcup and if its you star key player even better suffer the consequences ...thats all for know ill post the rest of my wish list later....

Well, actually Fifa 2000 is fairly simple in it's presentation wise. Don't you think. I hope Fifa 2001 will have a better match engine and design. Just to note that Fifa 2000 is a Game Simulation NOT a Management Game.

AI which is smart enough to substitute tired player?

also go back to at least 18 point rating system for players.

Bring back long range goal like we had in 98

Bring back large rosters and better team selection of 99.

Better defensemen ala 99 and better goalies.

Increase management options! Manage only mode please like they already do in the Madden series!

- Better commentary
- More divisions, like second divisions
- More players, like full squads
- Earn Money with stadiums attendance and with price money
- Players will get old
- Players will get better and badder
- Time will go on
- FIFA2000 Jersey's compatible
- More Cups, like European Cup, World Cup for teams
- a manager function like Championship Manager 3

That's all i think

The 18 point range for player attributes is a key part of the game. The current range is useless

I hate when I play Real Madrid at Bernabue STatium and when I score they cheer. Since when do Madrid fans cheer for Barcelona?? FIFA 2001 should have a better home advantage
AI .... the teams go all out at home, and have a more defensive style on the road. Get rid of the American announcers, they don't what they are talking about, but other than that PSV RuleZ and ZZUB have it all ... I really like that free beer thingy!

My list would be the same exact list as Didip except for the "long ball through" button (they should cut down on buttons), instead of a button for a "long ball through" there should be a "power bar".

Also I like the idea of having "More creatively game-play", the way you can score in FIFa2k is just too limited, its either a cross to the box or long rage/close shots. With no head passes for a shot at the goal, with no long range through passes to attackers.

Also I think dribbling should not be so focused on flair moves but more on fast cuts left/right.

Another thing that is very unrealistic is the way players can change the direction very fast while running.
