View Full Version : The GREAT COMPILED FiFA2000 SUGGESTION DICTIONARY!!

Please take time to read these suggestions, pals,trUst me,it's really really really worth reading.I've painstakingly compiled and added more great suggestions from almost all the main suggestions in the FIFA2000 forums.(Please take note that I may not type out your name beside the suggestion, cos that would take hours, sorry about that)
These are the really sensible elements that will make FIFA2000 a true fans' favourite! As I'm a pro player,I know how it is to be on and off the field.(Take note:I'm not Harry Kewell!)
-better referee:the realism of the game had been affected by the pathetic number of fouls by the computer in FIFA99.Make it that the computer plays quite an aggressive game, especially in crucial games. And make suspensions frequent.
-injuries:in FIFA99 once in a blue moon do players get injured, and that,is a serious flaw in teh game.Players should really get injured MORE often like in real life.Players should be more vulnerable to injuries too when they begin to show fatigue.EA should make gamers feel the disadvantage and heartache of having your player(espeically your star players) injured for long periods
-ultra-hectic pace:the MAIN bad, bad, bad thing about FIFA99.The pace is just too quick compared to the beautiful elegant game of real life.Realism is what we want! http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gifTo add to this, slow down the passes(they're so lightning quick, they make shots look weak!) and gameplay...other stuff may be elaborated on.
-LARGER fields:the tiny fields of FIFA99 make the gameplay scrappy and not-so-enjoyable.Take a look at fields in real life, lush and large...(remember:the field covers over 70% on our screen)so you guys really need to buck-up on the field side of the game with MuCh larger fields.oh yeah, the new grass-like pitch that you've shown us in FIFA2000 screenshots make the appearance of the pitch look nicer. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
-more realistic crowd(appearance):look here,I'm not asking for anything so elaborate like fighting and fans asking for trouble http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif,just some really sensible suggestions, the crowd looks really 2D at the moment with FIFA99..a 3D-look and perhaps, moving crowd would REALLY help in FIFA2000 'cos atmosphere lovers(like me http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif) would GREATLY appreciate that.AND,one suggestion(which I think would be JUST GREAT for FIFA2000) I've heard from many other fans,is that to make the crowd stand up in unison right after a goal is scored and rejoice.I've seen COUNTLESS of this kind of stuff in matches(on TV and in stadiums),this will REALLY upgrade the FIFA crowd,TRuST me!
-more realistic crowd(audio):the crowd should applause sportingly in encouragement after a brilliant run, dribble, shot, tackle or save by players or goalies. Also, the crowd should become excited with fast breaks(counter-attacks) and goal-scoring opportunities. The crowd should the best in leagues in the game if you know that also boo when players miss easy sitters or fire wide when the player has the goalie at his mercy(like Chris Sutton vs Sunderland)
Tip:the .wav sounds from CM3 can be worth adding to the game.
-movies,especially Cup Presentations!:these will DEFINITELY boast the lastability of the game,DEFINITELY.What for compete for nothing's in store for you eventually?Cup presentations lets you rejoice at your "success" and gives you a "sense of achievement".
-indoor games:1 important point stated here.Indoor games can be fun, although I'm not really so enthusiastic about it.But they really can make a difference for gamers who like fast-paced action or realistic field football.make it that when gamers want PHYSICAL fast-paced action, they can go for indoor games. While when they want the beautiful game from the field, they can choose to play field soccer. It's actually a change in flavour.
-names on shirts:I don't want to elaborate a lot on this, but names on shirts does matter quite a lot as a matter of fact. They add a new dimension into the already-detailed graphics of the game.
-match officials:linesmen and "intelligent" refereescan bring a dose of required realism into the game.An "intelligent" referee should display all the sternness of a match official and make clever decisions.I stress:more fouls and cards needed!
-coaching and playing staff:this part is really optional for you guys although benches are quite important.A coach may be sighted watching or shouting along the sidelines for a little humouR!hehe..
Substitutes coming on and players going off should interact by exchanging a high five or something like that.
-difficulty of the game:EA should make the difficulty slighty more realistic as the world-class mode players seem somewhat invicible on the ball and reckless with tackles sometimes.
-dribbling the ball:If you play pro soccer(as I do http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gifbut please take note,I'm not Harry Kewell!),you'll know that twisting and turning is quite a basic but CRUCIAL part in dribbling. In FIFA99 turns play second-fiddle to elaborate dribbling skills like the step-over and sidefoot,and,step-overs can go straight THROUGH opponents in FIFA99!what a joke!I guess I must be telling the coach tomorrow to add a step-over training schedule to training regime now.LOL!
Also,I think that FIFA2000 should add a Steve McManaman style teasing-dribble while holding down the alt key,it makes the game trickier and more fun.
-characteristic of players:Agility plays a very important part in a player.FIFA2000 should make players with higher agility dribble more and twist and turn quicker like Ronaldo. While Jaap Stam-like players should take more time to turn and look more composed.
-long-range shooting:yes, this part affects the goal-scoring department BADLY.Players should be able to score much more frequently with long shots,in fact,in real life,MANY of the goals come from long shots! And if struck well, the keeper should parry it at times instead of catching it all the time. Also, make shots go wild from long range, powerful shots swerving wide or sailing just over the bar are an everyday-thing in football. Some terrible shooters(like me! http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif),often shoot with the ball going into orbit!
-balls!:hmm..it would be nicer if there were 2 footballs to be used in the game. One for normal conditions(the normal colour ball) and another for snow play(preferrably yellow or orange in colour as these are the colours which stand out in white background.
-RPG-style game(don't be mistaken):Make every player gain experience from the games they've played in,it's like,if a player has 5 games to his name, then 2 points can be added to his attributes. This strongly promotes lastability too!
-not-so-INVINCIBLE realistic goalies:Goalkeepers, goalies, keepers!whatever you call 'em.They make me mad at times in recent FIFA games. They are just so unrealistic. They are a MAJOR flaw in the game...
PoWeRfUL long shots are often caught comfortably instead of parried. The goalie seems so INVINCIBLE in FIFA99!!They recover so quickly from shots, dive like a mad man, catch the ball comfortably like a baseball and behave so irritatingly and weirdly!Improve on these goalies and we'll have a free-flowing un-weird game.
-player's actions:Players should certainly have more on-field actions and behaviour in the game.Instead of having movies of them blaming themselves or sighing, the game should have a much more effective and minimised in-game-and-on-field version of them. There'll be more regular cursing when missing chances. And of course,theatrics..hehe
Another good tip is that players show misconduct or dissent rANDOMLy instead or manually so that the suspension part of the game can be fully deployed to action when they get their yellow or red cards.Players may have bad encounters(like eyeballing or fighting) with other players randomly as the game goes on.And frustration from fatigue can lead to misconduct or bad behaviour. For the Fair-Play part,if FIFA games can have that "delibrate-foul-play" button(the Q button in FIFA99),why not have other nice-to-watch fouls involving misconduct?
-Flair:footie games like International Superstar Soccer(IT ROCKS!!!!!I RATE IT PERHAPS AS HIGHLY AS(IF NOT HIGHER) I EXPECT FIFA2000 TO BE) and Virtual Striker contain lots of flair in their games, where anything is possible.A player might just come with the idea of an overhead kick and score with it.These kind of flair and realism in games are very influential to one's impression of the game and EA can try to emulate that. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Well, although I'm ending this suggestion dicitonary now,I'll be re-opening it if there's enough support from you pals. There'll be plenty of COMPiLed interesting stuff for the guys at EA Sports to read next time.
Please show your support through replies, thanks man,bye for now.

How about adding the Highlight Reel (like in FIFA 97)?
Just my humble opinion...

Kewell, I think exactly the same. It was worth the read. Exceleent suggestions.
Hope they listen. We football lovers want realism, looks like they are making the game for the arcade lovers. If they want fast pased action, go play air hockey or pinball. Look for my new suggestions.

Hehe, thanx for your replies,at least I've done my bit to promote OUR ideas.
Oh yes,Flax, the highlight reel feature will be great if it is included in FIFA2000,'cos when it's a good game, there are bound to be good goals.

By the way, does anyone know the address for the EA Sports Forum?

I can only thank you for all of us for making this incredible suggestion dictionary! It is excactly what we expect!I must only emphasize
the meaning of realism and playability who in my humble opinion were mostly missing form FIFA 99.Long shot scoring, smooth pace, nice dribbling, logical difficulty(not easy but difficult in the wright way!)as well as good goalkeeping would make this game ROCK!Oh and the RPG like idea is the best thing I ever heard!!!I was thinking of this all the time and I(and many people more)would wish to see it become real!!!!!
Thanx once more Kewell,Jimmious.

Btw,I'm not Harry Kewell the great young Leeds playmaker who has TONS of skill, just a fan of him,hehe..
Anyone here who has the game,International Superstar Soccer? Now THAT game is truly a really nice example for EA Sports to follow..
Smooth player actions,Sambal football, and THE VERY BEST gameplay I've ever seen.

Well recently I've got up with another cool idea, something associated with the crowd that I've seen in some other football games.Cameras!Wait a minute,I'm not talking about showing cameras around and things like that,I'm talking about the flashes of light from the crowd that always show in big matches.
The crowd should show some flashes of light to at least, show their "presence".Fans like to take photos of their fave team playing while in the stands.Just imagine that, you're playing in the Champions League Final,Bayern vs. Man U in FIFA2000,flashes in the crowd show the glamour and fame to be in the match. What a match it could turn out to be...
Think about it,EA,personally,I think that it can magnify the crowd's liveliness.

Great suggestions. I'd like to emphasize some of the suggestions. I figure that if more people keeping on asking for certain changes it has more of a chance if getting implemented.
Bigger field and bigger goal. Long distance goals. Better realistic implementation of the agility attribute in the players performance and capabilities.
If possible more accurate implementation of players attributes in how they play and what they can do and how fast they can do it.
Slow down the game but keep the fast game play option available for those who like it. World Class is totaly unrealistic, do something about it.

EXCELLENT SUGGESTIONS kewell...

I am trying to find out how to send EA Sports these suggestions as I type.

Further point: FIFA 2000 should be customizable in EVERY WAY - e.g. ability to change pitch size from ultra tiny to huge, game speed from turtle to supersonic, goalie ability from lame to superman etc.

In other words EA, give us (the user) the power to change almost everything and anything about the game!

Maybe I'll write too short but, if you ever played Fifa (94 I think)on Mega Drive you must have seen the crowd were more brilliant. They were wearing assorted colors, they were waving the flags, they were standing up, shouting, sitting after a while. Isn't this one possible to make with the new technology of 3d cards, I'm just curious.

Great points you have made.
I am sick of letting rip with a long range shot and the goaly just stands there calmly and catches the ball.
Also I am from New Zealand and we have just put a team into the Australian competition the 'Ericcson Cup' the Auckland Kings and I think its about time EA sports put the Australian League on their FIFA PC games.
I just hope that EA sports take action from what FIFA 99 fans have to say.

I agree with almost all of your suggestions. I also have a few. Did you notice that if put two teams to a demo game, and you watch the entire game (even 10 minute halves), at the end there would be 3 or less shots on goal and 90 % of the time the score would be 0-0. This is not that important but it's still something to improve. World class level sucks in fifa 99, because it's too fast, computer tackles like crazy, you have to make a 1000 passes etc. I find myself going back to play pro even though it's too easy for me, but it's still 10 times more realistic.
About the crowds. Good suggestions, and also I don't know if anyone noticed, but in soccer the fans always put transparents and flags all around the stadium. That would be pretty cool along with many different chants installed. Also in most soccer cities around the world, fans sing for the entire duration of the game.
Of course at least putting all euro leagues in the game would be good, even not so famous ones. like yugoslavia, romania, bulgaria etc.

that's all .

Hi Kewell,

Great dictionary I'm backing U up 100% I also have some frustraiting comments to add.

1. The goallies could waste over 2 mins holding the ball when their team is winning and the doesn't count to 6 nor 7 nor 8 but he lets the goallie wast as much time as possible and most times I'm forced to foul to gain a few mins especially near the end of the game.

2. The dammed refs never play the advantage even if the player scores while U foul the ref could unbeliveably disallow the goal and give them a freekick from the midfield and the same when a penalty is taken.

3. Where are the linesmen???

4. Refs must make some bad mistakes (they are only human).

5. I've never seen a single hand ball or a high foot i.e (dangerous play).

6. As U mentioned the trophy looks bad, you are never handed the cup (and where Sepp Blatter to hand the winning team the cup). The presentation of the cup and the celebration after a long hard season is very poor and far too short the players should also congratulate the opposite team win or lose after every match.

7. If FIFA 2000 is to be called FIFA they must implement the RULES of FIFA to it's full extent as I said the goallie has only 6 secs to release the ball or face a yellow card and a freekick and the cpu should also make mistakes.

What do U all think?

Kewell please inform us if U get any reply from EA SPORTS.

Once again cool dictionary. Thanks LFC...

Yes Kewell I remembered 3 more points.

1. The position of a team in the league should be written to the left of the teams' names in the league table instead of being left blank and have to count how far from the top or how close to the bottom.

2. If the ability choose to see the players name aswell as or instead of the players numbers, plus better statistics like the teams pattern at home or away.

3. I also hope the commentators say real words, not words like unawares or did he mean underwares? The commentary was quite boring lets pray its better this time around.

Bye... LFC...

I want the following features can be added:
1. Direct shoot from the corner kick like Roberto Carlos or Rivaldo.
2. Indirect freekick .
3. Direct throw-in into the box.
4. Coaches and subsituted players sitting in the bench.
5. The manager shouts and argues with the referee when a foul is not awarded a freekick.
6. Warm up of the subsituted players before they are replaced.
7. More dummy moves to cheat the opponent players.
8. The winning team tries to kill the clock when the match is going to the end.
9. The tried players drink water in the match especially the weather is hot.
10. The fans clapped for a good pass or a good performed player to be replaced.
11. Some players or managers are interviewed by the reporters after the match.
12. The goalkeeper eg Schmeichel may rush to the box to attempt for a goal.
13. Some players' jerseys may be pulled or even damaged.
14. Some players may elbow or push their enemy before they receive the ball.
15. The pitch may be damaged after a harsh sliding tackle.

I need to add:
There should be snow on the ground when it is snowing, and sleet on the ground when raining.
Weather also needs to change.
and sometimes it has to become darker when the game goes. (for example: the game starts at 7:30, when it is bright , and usually it ends at evening, 9:00)
Though there are some great ideas.

2 Goody:
You think Salenko is a star veteran?
1st: He is still playing, I mean he almost went to Sedan, in French Premier League.
2nd: Why should he be a star? I mean, he only scored 5 goals in a single game and broke the record of scoring goals in one single game in the World Cup, but, you know, he was not the best player in Russian roster that time. Any forward would score 5 goals...
And after the World Cup, he went to Glasgaw Rangers from Real Sociedad, and Glasgaw did not resign him in the next season.
So, we had better players in our roster.

Great ideas. I've only one to add - the penalty area arcs and centre circle are too small in FIFA99 (only about 6 yards in radius rather than 10) and need enlarging.

I think the most ¡§necessary" characteristics should be as follows:
1.)STYLE for players...etc. offensive(always move forward to score)
defensive(never score...he he just kid)
dramatic(like Chilavert)
aggresive(always make hard foul ...like Keane)
...and so on...
2.)Long shorts as you guys mentioned.
3.)Creation of roster player(like in NBA...)
4.)More attributes...(like patience, jumping ability, consistency...)
5.)Players could miss games due to injury and illness...
6.)More formation in the management...(like 1-3-4-2...9-0-1...etc)
7.)Different style of play by the team
8.)Coach for the team(different coach has different style)
9.)More realistic gameplay...(no more "world class" Jamaica. Jamaica is not a world class team!)
10.)Every one has chance to get hurt, including the goalie.
11.)Famous Referee ...(Some referees are harsh while some are not)
12.)Wing-Back
13.)Teams like England have more cross while Colombia and other South American teams tend to play more short-pass.
14.)A Creative player can have more fancy moves.

Yeah good points there,Parma Mania!(Go Amoroso!!):OLooks like we share the same "player characteristics" idea!

'n' Thanks for all the replies that you guys have posted me.
I think that some of the suggestions were nice but a little exaggerated.Well,we dun expect EA to add things like FIFA Fairplay kids(LOL!),women's teams, beach soccer or stretchers into FIFA2000. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif
I think that EA should make some players have "specialities" for example,Roberto Carlos will stand further back when taking free kicks,Ginola will then to dive more often and Giggs will then to be more pacey.Different teams should also have different playing styles like direct(the use of thru-balls),long ball, crossing or mixed.
Really hope EA includes the Argentinean league in FIFA2000. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

My requests:

1. LINESMEN!!!
2. Better end-of-competition award presentation
3. Less time-wasting by goalies
4. Handballs
5. More fouls, more cards, more injuries, and more penalties!
6. Defensive options - man-marking, zone coverage, etc.
7. More stats - check out www.mlsnet.com for ideas, MLS definitlely keeps a lot of good stats!
8. HUMAN goalkeepers, not gods!
9. People on the sidelines
10. Interaction between player coming off, sub, and sideline official
11. Names on jerseys
12. Picking national squads (as in FIFA '98)
13. More realistic crowds and crowd responses
14. Club logos
15. PLACES listed in the league standings
16. Indoor mode - include the existing indoor leagues in the US, Mexico, Brazil, and Spain!
17. More realism in player ratings (I'm sorry, but Ronaldo just isn't worth 16 out of 16 in TACKLING! In FIFA '99, for some reason Roberto Carlos is a better attacker than Ronaldo, and Ronaldo is a better defender than Roberto Carlos.)
18. Classic mode
19. Advantage play
20. Computer making subs without needing to be prompted by bookings or injuries
21. Finer difficulty adjustments (It's a HUGE jump between Amateur and Pro, and an equally large jump between Pro and World Class!)
22. More realistic dribbling
23. Photos of selected players
24. Dream (All-Star) match option - pick players individually to form dream teams!
25. Realistic random weather - I've had just about enough of "Christmas in July"!
26. Better pre-match and post-match video
27. End-of-season player awards (top scorer, player of the year, GK of the year, Best XI, etc.)
28. Allow option for user to place teams in groups for cups
29. Different box layout - instead of just one star, put about a dozen stars on the front
30. Market value based on player performance
31. In league play, players on national team rosters lost for 1-2 matches at various times due to national team call-ups
32. Realistic field size and game speed
33. Passing and shooting need to be redone - the passes are often faster than shots, I find myself hitting the pass button a lot b/c it's more effective being used to shoot than even a regular shot
34. Player personalities - see USM 2 for examples
35. More formations allowed - OK, maybe I want to be Steve Sampson (American coach in World Cup) and play a 3-6-1! It's not necessarily a good idea, but why not let me try it anyway? FIFA '99 doesn't...
36. Famous referees - just pull out the FIFA list. Maybe just have 10 or so "styles" or "personalities," and match each ref to a style.
37. AI plays European or Latin American styles of play depending on team
38. Highlight reel
39. League-specific adboards
40. Multiple balls - maybe one for each league. Different leagues use different balls, and I would like to see them all available. Also, in the options, the ability to select a ball.

OK... now on to some more controversial issues.

Leagues and teams: My opinion is that users should be able to add new leagues and teams WITHOUT replacing existing ones. The same goes for stadia, adboard sets, balls, etc. I also think EA should either make extra leagues freely downloadable and/or produce a leagues/stadia CD which could include dozens of new leagues. See my other thread, "What FIFA 2k really needs," for more on this.

Full customization: This is more radical. I propose that the user should be able to change not only speed and field size, as Combatter suggested, but also things like number of players on field, number of subs, field SHAPE, offsides on/off/other (like the old NASL 35-yard offsides line), goal shape and size, different restarts (kick-ins replacing throw-ins, goalkeeper throws replacing goal kicks, etc.), side boards, differently-shaped or differently-sized penalty areas, time penalties (like ice hockey), and other rule changes. I realize this would be incredibly difficult to program, but if it were at all possible, it would be fun to play around with.

Kewell - from your post you sound like you play pro soccer in the United States. May I ask where you play? I just might recognize your name http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif - I follow MLS, the A-League, and both the WISL and NPSL (the indoor leagues).

Oh... I just thought you might play in the US, specifically in the NPSL, because you mentioned how physical indoor soccer was, and the NPSL is known for being a very physical league, on the whole it's definitely one of the most physical soccer leagues, indoor or outdoor, that I know of. The WISL is also physical, but not as much as the NPSL.

Oh, and speaking of the NPSL... in total customization, it should be possible to also change the scoring system. The NPSL uses "basketball scoring" meaning that normal goals are worth 2 points, goals from outside a 3-point arc (which is 45 feet away from the goal) are worth 3 points, and penalty kicks are 1 point and always followed by a 2-minute power play (as in ice hockey). While I don't support basketball scoring in any way (when watching indoor soccer I prefer the WISL which uses regular 1-point-per-goal scoring), I think it should be an option in total customization if it's ever implemented, as well as the option of creating even more interesting scoring systems.

Great suggestions. You took a really great initiative to make a huge list of suggestions Kewell?
I heard some people send questions to EASPORTS, but that questions are soo stupid. Like: does Fifa 2000 has got better graphics and better gameplay? YEAH OFCOURSE! They are EASPORTS!!!
I think one of the best options we all waiting for is the option to play the game online on the internet!
Also the new Champions League system will be rocking!

But I have a questions for you all! What kind of a MONSTERmachine do we need to play the game with all the suggestions you gave?

By the way when are you sending the suggestions to EASPORTS?

I believe the visual part the game is cool enough. It was even good in 99, but the screenshots of 2000 look perfect. I think they should stop working on the the visuals and make game more realistic as you all say.

I agree with all the suggestions that have been made so far.. Yet, I have a few of my own;

I have never seen a team celebrating their first goal when they are 1-5 back...
The supporters (especially the ones that are currently beating) SHOULD sing all the time. Again, the sings should be customized..
Is there a player in the world that can shoot from the middle of its own half of the pitch..
Tackles should be less effective..
Cards and injuries SHOULD be more frequent

YOUR A LEGEND KEWEL AND HERE SOME THINGS I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU KNOW IN WORLD CLASS IF A PLAYER HAS 13 SHOTPOWER(OUT OF 16) HE CAN STILL SHOOT FROM LIKE HALFWAY AND GET A CORNER THATS WHAT I DO WHEN I LOSING JUST GET ROBERTO CARLOS AND SHOOT FROM ANYWERE EVEN IF I WAS 3 GOALS DOWN I COULD WIN.POINT 2 SOME TEAMS I WANT PICK THEIR STATS ARE SO UNREALISTIC THEY SHOULD BE MUCH MORE HIGHER.POINT 3 IF YOU DID A FOUL DEPENDING ON IT'S HARSHNESS IT SHOULD ABLE TO HAVE A FREE KICK OR A INDIRECT AND IT SHOULD SAY WHICH ONE IT IS THATS ALL KEWELL DO YOU THINK THAT THEY WILL MAKE THE CHANGES WHEN I THINK IT'S COMING ABOUT ONE MONTH,SEE YA

Yo Kewell good stuff man...

I like your suggestions, all of them..
But how do you feel about this whole internet play thing? I think Arsenal mentioned it earlier in his letter. It really bites man..
I think it would be really cool if i could share this game with some die hard fans like yourself and others here in this discussion. I mean we could set up a tournament via the internet and play various leagues.
I think if EA Sports were to create a web site that provided competitions in the different leagues and allow an individual to register a team (obviuosly not everyone could enter) it would boast the whole feel of FIFA2000. What could happen later is that other web sites could start offering the same league competitions. I mean what could be better than going head to head with a bunch of football crazy, FIFA playing fans around the world. I think that would have been the best improvement we could have recieved, but didn't, in the game.
Unfortunately it seems we aren't going to get that. I just think they should reconsider this aspect of game play, after a while beating the computer carries no thrill and there is often no one close that shares the same passion for the game. Even if you are lucky to find someone close after playing them for a while the game begins to lose its spark, man we need more competition at varying levels of skill and style.
I moved all the way here to the US from Jamaica because of school and i left my only apponent at home- my brother - who is just as crazy about this game as i am...i need apponents man and these database of names and emails are just not enough. I need competitions where i can play against people around the world. We need it so that we can brag that we played and beat this guy named Kewell who lives only he knows where man, but the fact is that he doesn't live next door and i kicked his ass in FIFA2000......HELP ME PLEASE>>>

I probably couldn't beat you though Kewell, so i'll take back the talk...I would like the chance to try though....that's what the game should offer, this opportunity....

PLease tell me what you think...

Well done Kewell, you have hit the nail on the head. I just hope that EA sports listen to your ideas. Have you emailed EA sports with the ideas? Just one thing to add, I have not looked at everyones replies but I would live to see the game have every team, every Divison. Also I think it should be like sensible world of soccer where you pick your team say: Manutd or something and it puts all the other comps in the fixture.
ok keep up the great ideas everyone http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

All of your suggestions are great! However,I think the shot in FIFA99 is powerful enought,
only the goalkeeper always catch the ball so you feel the shot is not powerful .
I have some suggestions:
1,Foul and injury of the goalkeeper.
2,All kinds of volley can shot in front of the net.In fifa99,some volley cannot shot in front of the net.
3,Some of the clubs can have more than 2 kids.Such as Man Utd,they have 3 kinds of kids this year.
4,More kinds of actions, especially on shooting. In Virtual Stricker 2000,there are many kinds of shooting.
5,The shot is too powerful, slow down it.

kewell
07-10-1999, 10:34:AM
Another suggestion...
there should really be injuries and fouls by the keeper as you said. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
I have NEVER REALLY seen a FIFA99 goalie give away a penalty compared to real-life where it happens SO frequently(the latest one,Bradford keeper Gary Walsh bringing down Sunderland striker Kevin Phillips in the area for a penalty).
EA should quickly taken this opportunity to implement this "keeper-foul" thing into the game, cos few games have this realistic feature.
Recently,I looked at some FIFA2000 screemshots and weren't impressed by some of them.I dunno why, maybe it's me...,but it seems to me that the game's gonna be as quick as FIFA99!!The penalty area's not so big,and..it looks quite easy to dash into the area.Oh my goodness,this..is not good news!

P.S.Winning Eleven 4 by Konami Sports is A GREAT GAME(Boy!Konami are gonna be true kings of footie if EA aren't gonna buck up),the game's BY FAR the very BEST I've ever seen.If you have any doubts about the game,Go buy it!The game's not so famous because when you compare the company size,EA is much bigger than Konami and more..ummm...how should i put it..."authentic".

There must be a prefered foot. Left,Right or Both. In Fifa 1999 it didn't matter.

kewell
08-10-1999, 05:08:PM
Yeah,it looks kinda annoying when Giggs takes corners or free kicks with his right foot or Shearer takes penalties with his left foot. It's unrealistic with players using their weak feet more often sometimes than their preferred feet.
This is a great suggestion, keep it up pals!

We should be able to drible by just cutting from left to right when the defence is running backwards like in fifa98 and we should be able to control the direction of the tackle and every tackle from behind should be a foul.

And your right Kewell ISSS98(PSX) is the best soccer game Ive ever played to bad its just for consoles but I heard that they are going to make a ver for the PC.

edu

Mike a PC can easily handle all that the only problem is that EA wants the game to be playable on a P100 since the market of FIFAs is mostly europe and south america and they dont have fast computers with good 3d cards. If they were to make a game as hardware demading as q3 or UT then fifa would look so damn cool.

If you see the game, buy it immediately...
I MUST say that Winning Eleven 4,kind of a sequel to ISS,is undoubtedly the BEST soccer game I have ever played, the very very BEST.
It's not so famous because Konami doesn't advertise as much as EA Sports and there are not as many websites on it too.
Pleeeaaaasssssee buy it to see for yourself!
